Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Cannon Anderson, St. Mary’s (Medford)

The senior guard poured in a game-high 33 points, going 10 for 10 from the free throw line, in the Crusaders’ 57-43 home win over Taft in a Class 3A state playoff first-round contest. 

Brayden Barron, Barlow

The junior forward recorded a double-double with 12 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks in the Bruins’ 73-54 win over David Douglas in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Barlow High School.

Trace Benner, Caldera

The senior forward had a double-double for the Wolfpack with 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 67-58 loss at Mountain View in an Intermountain Conference contest.

Jack Bents, Caldera

The junior guard tallied a game-high 29 points for the Wolfpack in a 70-46 loss against Redmond in an Intermountian Conference game at Caldera High School.

Kyle Bittle, Crater

The junior guard/forward had a double-double for the Comets with 18 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks in a 57-47 win over Eagle Point in a Midwestern League game at Crater High School.

Cael Boe, Elkton

The senior post turned in a double-double for the Elks with 18 points and 21 rebounds in their 69-54 victory at Crosspoint Christian in a Class 1A state playoff first-round contest.

Jacey Canalin, Wells

The senior guard poured in a team-high 42 points to help the Guardians tip Lincoln 94-91 in overtime in a Portland Interscholastic League finale at Ida B. Wells-Barnett High School.

Sawyer Clemett, Hood River Valley

The senior had 25 points and six rebounds for the Eagles in their 65-48 win over Hillsboro in a Northwest Oregon Conference game at Hillsboro High School.

Ty Dahlin, South Medford

The senior guard had a double-double with 15 points, 14 rebounds and five assists for the Panthers in a 53-48 win over rival North Medford in a Southwest Conference game at North Medford High School. He had 17 points, 17 rebounds and five assists in a 70-65 win at South Eugene.

Carter Fortune, Southridge

The senior guard scored 12 points, giving him more than 1,000 for his high school career, and had six rebounds for the Skyhawks in their 73-55 win over Sunset in a Metro League finale.

Kaden Gronig, Southridge

The senior guard had 27 points, six rebounds and five assists to help lead the Skyhawks to a 73-55 win over Sunset in a Metro League finale at Southridge High School.

Cole Hammack, North Marion

The junior guard poured in 32 points to help lead the Huskies to an 85-68 win over The Dalles in a Class 4A play-in game at North Marion High School.

Evan Heisler, Lincoln

The senior post stepped up with 27 points and nine rebounds for the Cardinals in their 95-61 win over Benson in a Portland Interscholastic League game at Lincoln High School.

Ben Hemelstrand, Crosshill Christian

The senior guard tallied 32 points to help the Eagles post an 87-83 overtime victory at Dufur in a Class 1A state playoff second-round contest.

Wyatt Horner, Redmond

The sophomore stepped up with a team-high 24 points to help the Panthers post a 70-46 win over Caldera in a key Intermountain Conference game at Caldera High School.

Joshua Iwamizu, Hidden Valley

The junior tallied a game-high 24 points, including 11 in the first quarter, in leading the Mustangs to a 73-43 win over Klamath Union in a Skyline Conference finale at Klamath Union High School.

Houston Klug, North Medford

The senior wing stepped up with 33 points for the Black Tornado in a 69-63 win over Willamette in a Southwest Conference finale at Willamette High School.

TJ Latu, Jefferson

The senior guard sank six 3-pointers on his way to posting 31 points for the Democrats in their 75-67 win over Franklin in a Portland Interscholastic League game at Franklin High School.

Jackson Leach, West Salem

The senior had 25 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds and five steals for the Titans in their 72-53 win over McNary in a Central Valley Conference game at West Salem High School.

Braydon Long, Willamette 

The senior sank seven 3-pointers, giving him a school single-season record of 79 this season, on his way to scoring 27 points for the Wolverines in a 69-63 loss to North Medford.

Austin Maurer, Cascade Christian

The senior center had 29 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and three blocks for the Challengers in their 73-30 win over Riverside in a Class 3A state playoff game at Cascade Christian High School.

Markus McCreadie, Henley

The 6-foot-7 senior stepped up with a game-high 27 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks in helping the Hornets get a 53-51 win over Phoenix in a Skyline Conference game at Henley High School.

Tanner Overby, Lincoln

The senior poured in 36 points to help lead the Cardinals to a 95-61 win over Benson in a Portland Interscholastic League game at Lincoln High School. He had 44 points in a 94-91 overtime loss to Wells.

Zamir Paschal, Central Catholic

The sophomore had a triple-double for the Rams with 19 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists in a 92-72 win against Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Central Catholic High School.

Owen Pollard, Open Door Christian Academy

The senior had 35 points and five steals for the Huskies in their 81-58 home win over Prairie City/Burnt River in a Class 1A state playoff first-round game.

Cody Siegner, Crane

The junior forward/center tallied a game-high 28 points to lead the way for the Mustangs in an 81-40 home win over Bonanza in a Class 1A state playoff second-round clash.

Nate Stiffler, Thurston

The junior stepped up with 23 points and seven rebounds in helping the Colts post a 73-50 win over Springfield in a Midwestern League game at Thurston High School.

Sawyer Teeney, Silverton

The junior scored a team-high 15 points, one of five Foxes to score in double figures, in an 80-46 victory at McKay in a Mid-Willamette Conference contest.

Kayin Turner, Sunset

The senior forward turned in a double-double for the Apollos with 22 points and 12 rebounds in a 65-60 win over Beaverton in a Metro League game at Sunset High School.

Hunter Vaughn, North Douglas 

The sophomore wing had a double-double for the Warriors with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a 64-30 home win over Condon in a Class 1A state playoff first-round game. He had 28 points and eight steals in a 70-60 second-round playoff win at Sherman.

Cruz Veliz, Woodburn

The junior guard scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 76-55 win over Lebanon in a Mid-Willamette Conference game at Woodburn High School.

Jackson Weiland, South Medford

The senior guard had 27 points, six assists and five steals for the Panthers in a 70-65 win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference finale at South Eugene High School.

Tyler Whitson, Creswell

The junior guard had a triple-double for the Bulldogs with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in a 68-52 win over Yamhill-Carlton in a Class 3A state playoff first-round game at Creswell High School.

Marley Zeller, Central Catholic

The senior poured in a game-high 30 point to help lead the Rams to a 92-72 win over Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Central Catholic High School.
