Owen Hopkins of West Albany voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week

Hopkins received 73.54% of the vote, beating out West Linn's Max Juhala, who finished second with 22.79%

Congratulations to West Albany’s Owen Hopkins for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 12-18. 

Hopkins, a junior guard on the West Albany team, sank seven 3-pointers on his way to scoring a game-high 34 points for the Bulldogs in their 69-46 victory at Silverton in a Mid-Willamette Conference tilt.

Hopkins received 73.54% of the vote, beating out Max Juhala, a senior on the West Linn team, who finished second with 22.79%. Vitaliy Sergeychuk, a senior on the David Douglas team, was third with 1.11% and Nick DiGiulio, a senior on the West Linn team, was fourth with 0.50%. There were nearly 2,000 votes tallied this week.
