The Oregon boys basketball regular season concludes Friday night; check out SBLive's latest computer rankings

The final night of the 2023-24 Oregon high school boys basketball regular season is in progress, and the Central Catholic Rams are poised to claim the top spot in the Class 6A rankings.

The Rams are ranked No. 1 in SBLive's 6A boys basketball computer rankings - but more importantly they are No. 1 in the OSAA's rankings which determine playoff seeding.

Southridge, Barlow, Roosevelt and Jesuit round out the top 5 of SBLive's 6A rankings. SBLive's rankings are through games played on Thursday, Feb. 23.

The official OSAA rankings will freeze on Friday at 10 p.m. and the playoff brackets will be seeded.

Check out SBLive's updated computer rankings below.

SBLive's computer rankings formula was created using its own linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking Method. Colley’s Method was created by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He devised his algorithm in order to help address the subjectivity and controversy regarding BCS college football selections in the 1990s and early 2000s, using a method that used no subjective variables.
