Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Brayden Barron, Barlow

The junior forward poured in a game-high 37 points on 16-of-23 shooting and added 13 rebounds in helping the Bruins run to an 84-70 win over Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Barlow High School. 

Trace Benner, Caldera

The senior forward had a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Wolfpack in a 62-61 victory at Ridgeview in an Intermountain Conference contest.

Dennis Bondar, McKay

The junior wing poured in a game-high 35 points to lead the way for the Royal Scots in an 82-71 win over Lebanon in a Mid-Willamette Conference game at McKay High School.

Pearson Carmichael, Summit

The senior became the Storm’s all-time leading scorer as he tallied 28 points in an 86-51 win over Ridgeview in an Intermountain Conference game at Summit High School. He scored 34 points in an 83-50 victory at Redmond.

Ezra Carter, Wilsonville

The senior post scored 30 points on a 14-for-17 shooting night from the field, helping the Wildcats run to an 83-42 win over Hillsboro in a Northwest Oregon Conference game at Hillsboro High School.

Colin Cordle, South Albany

The junior shined with 28 points, sinking five 3-pointers, and eight rebounds for the RedHawks in their 66-41 win over Dallas in a Mid-Willamette Conference game at South Albany High School.

Ty Dahlin, South Medford

The senior guard has strong night for the Panthers with 13 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, four steals and two blocks in their 72-16 win over Willamette in a Southwest Conference game at South Medford High School.

Nick DiGiulio, West Linn

The senior scored a game-high 26 points, sinking six 3-pointers, in leading the Lions to an 82-58 win over Mountainside in a nonleague contest at West Linn High School.

Carter Fortune, Southridge

The senior guard had 16 points and nine rebounds to help the Skyhawks earn a 58-44 win over Jesuit in a key Metro League game at Southridge High School. He had 20 points in a 70-52 win against Mountainside.

Levi Hawes, South Eugene

The junior tallied a team-high 30 points to help the Axe hold off Roseburg to get a 96-86 victory in a Southwest Conference game at South Eugene High School.

Terrence Hill Jr., Roosevelt

The senior guard poured in a school-record 47 points with nine rebounds and five assists for the Roughriders in their 93-77 win over Benson in a Portland Interscholastic League game at Roosevelt High School. He had 28 points and eight assists in an 88-66 win over Franklin.

Owen Hopkins, West Albany

The junior guard sank seven 3-pointers on his way to scoring a game-high 34 points for the Bulldogs in their 69-46 victory at Silverton in a Mid-Willamette Conference tilt.

Avery Huston, Cascade Christian

The freshman guard had 29 points and four rebounds for the Challengers in their 105-57 win at St. Mary’s of Medford in a Far West League contest. He had 24 points and three rebounds in an 84-68 victory over Douglas.

Max Juhala, West Linn

In the Lions’ wins over Lake Oswego, Sherwood, Lakeridge and Mountainside, the senior guard had 37 points, 22 rebounds and eight assists. He had the winning basket in a 60-58 victory at Sherwood, coming with 2.9 seconds left to play in the game.

Jordan Johnson, Century

The senior guard had 19 points, 11 assists, three rebounds and two steals in leading the Jaguars to a 63-41 win over Forest Grove in a Pacific Conference game at Century High School.

Isaiah Koehnke, Regis

The junior guard/wing poured in a game-high 33 points to help lead the Rams to a 101-52 victory over Gervais in a Tri-River Conference playoff game at Regis High School.

Houston Klug, North Medford

The senior wing tallied a game-high 33 points and five rebounds in helping the Black Tornado rally to get an 83-80 win over Roseburg in a Southwest Conference game at Roseburg High School.

TJ Latu, Jefferson

The senior guard sank five 3-point baskets on his way to tallying a game-high 28 points for the Democrats in their 74-66 win over Lincoln in a Portland Interscholastic League game at Jefferson High School.

Austin Maurer, Cascade Christian

The senior post stepped up with 32 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks for the Challengers in an 84-686 win over Douglas in a Far West League playoff game at North Valley High School. He had 34 points and 15 rebounds in an 88-53 win over Churchill.

Mykah Mendoza, Roseburg

The senior guard poured in a game-high 38 points in a 96-86 loss to South Eugene in a Southwest Conference game at South Eugene High School.

Tanner Overby, Lincoln

The senior shined with 31 points in helping the Cardinals tip Jefferson 70-68 in a Portland Interscholastic League game at Lincoln High School.

Jackson Owens, Cleveland

The senior scored 31 points, shooting 4 for 6 from 3-point range, while recording a double-double in the Warriors’ 60-46 win at Franklin in a Portland Interscholastic League contest. He scored 23 points in a 71-62 win over Franklin, and he had 22 points in a 61-49 victory against Grant. With his scoring outburst for the week, Owens has now scored more than 1,000 career points.

Cole Patrick, Barlow

The senior guard broke a single-game school record with 16 assists for the Bruins in their 84-70 win over Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Barlow High School.

Duce Paschal, Central Catholic

The junior poured in a game-high 31 points for the Rams in their 109-20 win against Reynolds in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Central Catholic High School.

Lincoln Satterthwaite, David Douglas

The senior guard made a school-record nine 3-pointers, on 11 attempts, on his way to scoring 36 points for the Scots in an 86-71 win over Clackamas in a Mt. Hood Conference game. He went 9 for 9 from the free throw line.

Coen Schmeiter, Central Linn

The junior forward had a big double-double for the Cobras with 19 points, 15 rebounds and four assists in a 47-34 home win over Gold Beach in a Valley Coast Conference playoff tilt.

Vitaliy Sergeychuk, David Douglas

The senior guard had a huge double-double for the Scots with 23 points and 20 rebounds in an 89-88 win at Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference contest.

Jaxson Spafford, Milwaukie

The junior guard sank five 3-pointers on his way to pouring in 44 points for the Mustangs in their 74-71 win over Parkrose in a Northwest Oregon Conference game at Milwaukie High School.

Cruz Veliz, Woodburn

The junior had a double-double for the Bulldogs with 18 points and 10 assists in their 73-51 victory at McKay in a Mid-Willamette Conference clash.

Jackson Weiland, South Medford

The senior guard scored a game-high 31 points with five rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block in the Panthers’ 68-58 win over Grants Pass in a Southwest Conference game at South Medford High School.

Zane Wilborn, South Umpqua

The junior guard turned in a double-double for the Lancers with a game-high 19 points and 18 rebounds in their 63-27 win at Rogue River in a Far West League finale.
