Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Jalen Atkins, Barlow 

The junior guard poured in 36 points and added five assists for the Bruins in their 73-59 win over rival Gresham in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Barlow High School.

Brayden Barron, Barlow

The junior forward had 23 points and eight rebounds for the Bruins in their 87-68 victory at Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference clash.

Trace Benner, Caldera

The senior forward had a double-double for the Wolfpack with 23 points and 11 rebounds in a 71-59 loss at Summit in an Intermountain Conference contest.

Mason Bierbrauer, Barlow

The junior forward scored 34 points and pulled down six rebounds in helping the Bruins post an 87-68 win at Nelson in a Mt. Hood Conference contest.

Brayden Boe, Mountainside

The junior guard scored a game-high 23 points, giving him more than 1,000 for his high school career, in the Mavericks’ 75-41 win over Westview in a Metro League game at Mountainside High School. He had 30 points and 11 rebounds in a 57-53 overtime loss to Beaverton.

Tyler Bradford, Liberty

The senior forward stepped up with a game-high 33 points for the Falcons in a 76-52 win over Newberg in a Pacific Conference game at Liberty High School.

Jacob Brown, Sandy

The junior center scored a game-high 26 points to help lead the Pioneers to a 78-58 win over Clackamas in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Clackamas High School.

Matthew Burnett, South Umpqua

The senior forward/post had a double-double for the Lancers with 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a 59-39 home win over Glide in a Skyline League clash.

Pearson Carmichael, Summit

The senior had a double-double for the Storm with 27 points and 13 rebounds in a 71-59 win over Caldera in a key Intermountain Conference game at Summit High School. He had 20 points and 14 rebounds in a 65-39 win over Mountain View.

Peter Cory, Lake Oswego

The senior scored 18 points for the Lakers in their games against Oregon City and Tigard in Three Rivers League play.

Ty Dahlin, South Medford

The senior guard turned in a double-double for the Panthers with 14 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks in a 70-60 victory against South Eugene in a Southwest Conference game at South Medford High School.

Dylan Douangphrachanh, Benson

The senior wing had 37 points and five assists for the Techmen in a 74-71 loss to Cleveland in a Portland Interscholastic League game at the Marshall Campus.

Kaiden Ford, Cascade

The junior guard averaged 20 points, five assists, four steals and two blocks per game for the Cougars in wins over Henley and Newport in Oregon West Conference play. He had 25 points and six steals in a 74-58 victory at Philomath.

AJ Garcia, Hillsboro

The sophomore forward had a double-double for the Spartans with 27 points and 16 rebounds in their 55-46 win over Aloha in a nonleague game at Hillsboro High School.

Rocco Graziano, Sheldon

The junior guard sank six 3-pointers on his way to posting a game-high 27 points for the Irish in a 79-76 win over Roseburg in a Southwest Conference game at Sheldon High School.

Kallen Gutridge, Wilsonville

The senior wing scored a game-high 22 points and added seven rebounds for the Wildcats in a 62-47 win at Putnam in a key Northwest Oregon Conference contest. He had 17 points and five rebounds in a 56-51 victory at Parkrose.

Vashon Hardges, Grant

The senior guard, scoring in a variety of ways, averaged 12 points per game and played standout on-ball defense in helping the Generals notch wins over Roosevelt, Cleveland and Jefferson in Portland Interscholastic League play.

Gavin Inglish, Pleasant Hill

The junior guard poured in 30 points for the Billies in their 74-57 win over Elmira in a Mountain Valley Conference game at Elmira High School.

Brysen Kachel, West Albany

The senior forward had a standout performance for the Bulldogs with 25 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals in their 75-47 win over Dallas in a Mid-Willamette Conference game at West Albany High School.

Pat Kilfoil, Jesuit

The junior guard poured in a game-high 35 points for the Crusaders in their 73-66 victory over Sunset in a Metro League contest at Sunset High School.

Houston Klug, North Medford

The senior wing had 19 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals to help lead the Black Tornado to a 61-44 victory against Willamette in a Southwest Conference game at North Medford High School.

Preston Kramer, Philomath

The senior scored a game-high 24 points to pace the Warriors in a 61-36 win against Stayton in an Oregon West Conference game at Philomath High School.

Jemai Lake, Tualatin

The sophomore guard stepped up with a game-high 29 points to help lead the Timberwolves to an 87-80 win over West Linn in a Three Rivers League game at Tualatin High School.

Austin Maurer, Cascade Christian 

The senior center, playing in just the first half of the Challengers’ 88-36 win over Rogue River, had a solid performance with 17 points, seven assists, six rebounds and five steals, and he became the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,644 points. He had 26 points, 16 rebounds, six assists and five blocks in an 88-31 victory against Brookings-Harbor.

Isaac McCoy, Lake Oswego

The senior scored 18 points for the Lakers in their Three Rivers League contests at Oregon City and Tigard.

Markus McCreadie, Henley

The senior post had a double-double for the Hornets with 14 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocks in a 57-41 win over rival Klamath Union in a Skyline Conference game at Henley High School.

Grant Olsen, Hermiston

The senior wing scored 19 points for the Bulldogs in their 74-55 victory at Chiawana, Wash., making him the school’s all-time leading scorer with 1,497 points.

Keivon Riley, Junction City

The senior guard sank a buzzer-beating three-quarters court shot to give the Tigers a 60-58 win over Marist Catholic in a Sky Em League thriller at Junction City High School.

Clyde Rosenberg, Dayton

The junior stepped up with a game-high 27 points for the Pirates in their 62-45 win over Amity in a PacWest Conference game at Dayton High School.

Quincy Townsend, Mountain View

The senior guard poured in a game-high 32 points to lead the way for the Cougars in a 72-59 victory at Ridgeview in an Intermountain Conference clash.

Zhalei Van, Grant

The junior guard averaged 15 points per game while keeping the Generals’ offense flowing with strong playmaking in wins over Roosevelt, Cleveland and Jefferson in Portland Interscholastic League action.

Jackson Weiland, South Medford

The senior guard scored a game-high 34 points to go with six assists for the Panthers in their 70-60 win over South Eugene in a Southwest Conference game at South Medford High School. He had 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds in a 74-65 win at Sheldon.

Dylan Westermeyer, Oregon City

The senior wing had a game-high 20 points, eight rebounds and two assists to help lead the Pioneers to a 49-43 victory against Lakeridge in a Three Rivers League contest at Lakeridge High School.
