Asher Vredenburg of Roseburg voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week

Vredenburg received 48.51% of the vote, beating out Elkton’s Bodee Block, who finished second with 32.51%

Congratulations to Roseburg’s Asher Vredenburg for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 22-28. 

Vredenburg, a senior guard on the Roseburg team, stepped up with a game-high 28 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field and added five rebounds and five assists in helping Roseburg post a 74-64 win over Grants Pass in a Southwest Conference game at Roseburg High School. He had 21 points and eight rebounds in an 83-74 victory against South Eugene.

Vredenburg received 48.51% of the vote, beating out Bodee Block, a junior on the Elkton team, who finished second with 32.51%. Tyler Pooleon, a senior on the Silverton team, was third with 11.08% and Jordan Johnson, a senior on the Century team, was fourth with 6.30%. There were more than 34,000 votes tallied this week.
