Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Alissa Alvarez, Phoenix 

The junior had a double-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals for the Pirates in their 52-38 victory at Hidden Valley in a Skyline Conference contest.

Brooke Anderson, Grants Pass

The senior guard tallied a game-high 26 points to help the Cavers triumph 73-25 against Roseburg in a Southwest Conference game at Grants Pass High School.

Anna Bales, Crook County

The freshman guard scored a game-high 24 points for the Cowgirls in a 51-33 home win over The Dalles in a Tri-Valley Conference game and added 23 points in a 60-31 conference win against Estacada, shooting 7 for 9 from 3-point range in the two victories. 

Ava Bergeson, La Salle Prep

The sophomore forward/center averaged 18.5 points, 14 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game for the Falcons in their Northwest Oregon Conference games against Wilsonville and Parkrose.

Kasey Booster, Mountain View

The senior guard tallied a game-high 34 points, including 20 in the second half, in leading the Cougars to a 79-52 win over Redmond in a key Intermountain Conference game at Mountain View High School.

Kaylor Buse, West Linn 

The freshman guard had a game-high 22 points to go with seven rebounds, four assists and four steals for the Lions in their 57-28 win over Lakeridge in a Three Rivers League contest at Lakeridge High School. She had 20 points and four steals in a 52-48 overtime win at Tualatin and capped her week with 14 points, eight assists and four steals in a 62-31 victory against Lake Oswego. 

Avery Buss, McNary

The senior guard/wing had a team-high 13 points, nine rebounds and five assists for the Celtics in their 53-43 win over Sprague in a Central Valley Conference game at Sprague High School. 

Nyla Cabine, Westside Christian

The senior guard/wing had a huge double-double for the Eagles with 34 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and three steals in a 61-33 win over De La Salle North in a Lewis & Clark League tilt. She had 14 points, 17 rebounds and four assists in a 53-20 victory at Catlin Gabel.

Dakota Carson, Creswell

The senior guard stepped up with 26 points and five steals for the Bulldogs in their 71-19 victory at Siuslaw in a Mountain Valley Conference clash.

Addyson Clark, Sutherlin

The junior forward poured in a game-high 32 points to help the Bulldogs post a 55-39 home win over Cascade Christian in a Far West League showdown.

Brooklyn Cyr, North Douglas

The junior guard sank six 3-point baskets on her way to scoring a game-high 27 points for the Warriors in their 68-46 home win over previously unbeaten New Hope Christian in a Skyline League tilt.

Jazzy Davidson, Clackamas

The junior guard had 28 points, seven rebounds and four steals to help lead the Cavaliers to a 55-31 win over Nelson in a key Mt. Hood Conference game at Nelson High School. She had 17 points (giving her more than 1,500 points for her high school career), eight rebounds and five steals in a 71-32 victory against Barlow.

Rowan Davis, South Eugene

The senior center recorded 19 points and nine rebounds to help the Axe notch a 45-33 win over Roseburg in a Southwest Conference game at South Eugene High School.

Reese Filkins, Jesuit

The sophomore wing had 12 points, six rebounds and three steals for the Crusaders in a 46-37 win over Mountainside in a Metro League contest. She had 16 points, including three 3-pointers, and seven rebounds in a 70-25 win over Aloha and 12 points, four rebounds and two steals in a 70-27 victory at Westview. 

Love Forde, Nelson

The freshman post scored 18 points against Clackamas and tallied 24 points against Gresham for the Hawks in Mt. Hood Conference action.

Meagan Hellenthal, Umpqua Valley Christian

The freshman post stepped up with a game-high 26 points in the Monarchs’ 64-15 victory at Yoncalla in a Skyline League contest.

Kendra Hicks, Jesuit

The senior post had two more double-double performances for the Crusaders, having 11 points and 23 rebounds (12 offensive) in a 46-37 win over Mountainside and 17 points and 15 rebounds in a 70-27 victory at Westview in Metro League play.

Nylah Jae Holt, Central Catholic

The junior had 11 points, eight assists and five steals in minimal minutes of playing time for the Rams in their 64-22 win over Gresham in a Mt. Hood Conference game at Central Catholic High School.

Morgan Hoover, Lake Oswego

The junior had a double-double for the Lakers with 10 points and 10 rebounds to go with five blocks and two steals in their 45-25 win over St. Mary’s Academy in a Three Rivers League game at Lake Oswego High School.

Jayda Jackson, Central Catholic

The senior shined for the Rams with 19 points, five rebounds and five steals in their 49-19 victory over David Douglas in a Mt. Hood Conference contest at Central Catholic High School.

Reese Jordan, West Linn

The sophomore guard had 30 points, five rebounds and six steals for the Lions in a 62-31 win over Lake Oswego in a Three Rivers League game at West Linn High School. She had 18 points, six rebounds and five steals in a 57-28 win at Lakeridge and 25 points, six rebounds and three steals in a 52-48 overtime win at Tualatin in a key league clash. 

Amani Lubrano, Jesuit

The sophomore guard had eight points, three rebounds and three steals for the Crusaders in a 46-37 win over Mountainside in Metro League play. She had 14 points, including three 3-pointers, and three steals in a 70-25 win over Aloha and 13 points and three steals in a 70-27 victory at Westview.

Isabel McCauley, Cascade Christian

The junior stepped up with 19 points, six steals, five rebounds and three assists for the Challengers in their 54-15 win at Douglas in a Far West League contest.

Ries Miadich, Tualatin

The sophomore guard scored 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field for the Timberwolves in a 52-48 overtime loss to West Linn in a Three Rivers League game at Tualatin High School.

Payton Ratcliffe, Wilsonville

The junior forward had a big double-double for the Wildcats with 21 points and 15 rebounds in their 44-39 win over La Salle Prep in a key Northwest Oregon Conference game at Wilsonville High School.

Allie Roden, Clackamas

The junior guard had 24 points, five rebounds and eight steals for the Cavaliers in an 87-13 win at Gresham in a Mt. Hood Conference game. She had 12 points, nine rebounds and four steals in a 55-31 victory at Nelson and 14 points, nine rebounds and a steal in a 71-32 win against Barlow.

Katelyn Senn, Bandon 

The senior guard sank three 3-point baskets on her way to scoring a game-high 29 points for the Tigers in their 54-10 win at Oakland in a Valley Coast Conference clash.

Sara Schmerbach, South Medford

The junior guard turned in a strong performance with 16 points, five rebounds and three assists for the Panthers in their 45-32 win over Willamette in a Southwest Conference showdown at South Medford High School.

Jordyn Smith, Tualatin

The junior post had 20 points on 8-for-10 shooting and six rebounds to help lead the Timberwolves to a 48-40 win over Oregon City in a Three Rivers League opener at Oregon City High School. She had 14 points and 12 rebounds in a 39-14 victory at St. Mary’s Academy.

Brook Tate, South Salem

The sophomore forward had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in helping the Saxons post a 58-42 win over McKay in a key Central Valley Conference game at South Salem High School.

Lizzy Weber, Barlow

The junior wing/post scored 16 points on a 9-for-12 shooting night from the field with nine rebounds and three steals in 22 minutes for the Bruins in their 61-13 win at Sandy in Mt. Hood Conference play. 

Sage Winslow, Crater 

The junior guard had 27 points on a 12-for-15 shooting night from the field, seven steals and six rebounds for the Comets in their 84-20 win against Thurston in a Midwestern League contest at Crater High School.

Annalise Woicke, Central Catholic

The junior recorded 14 points, seven rebounds and three steals in helping the Rams run to a 65-22 win over Sandy in a Mt. Hood Conference contest at Central Catholic High School.

Ashley Wright, Burns

The senior forward/wing tallied a game-high 21 points to pace the Hilanders in a 47-31 home win over McLoughlin in an Eastern Oregon League clash. She had 26 points in a 52-16 victory against Umatilla.
