Caileigh Raines of North Medford voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week

Raines received 62.39% of the vote, beating out Central’s Ashley Barba, who finished second with 27.67%

Congratulations to North Medford’s Caileigh Raines for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 15-21. 

Raines, a junior guard on the North Medford team, scored a game-high 25 points, sinking three 3-point baskets in the process, in leading the Black Tornado to a 54-42 win over Roseburg in a Southwest Conference game at Roseburg High School.

Raines received 62.39% of the vote, beating out Ashley Barba, a senior on the Central team, who finished second with 27.67%. Zoie Carlile, a senior on the Oakland team, was third with 5.77% and Ava Rubio, a senior on the McNary team, was fourth with 1.95%. There were more than 24,000 votes tallied this week.
