Maddie Mullins of McKay voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week

Mullins received 73.33% of the vote, beating out South Salem’s Emma Burlison, who finished second with 12.84%

Congratulations to McKay’s Maddie Mullins for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 8-14. 

Mullins, a senior guard on the McKay team, stepped up with 18 points, six rebounds, an assist and two steals for the Royal Scots in a 63-48 victory at Woodburn in a Mid-Willamette Conference contest. 

Mullins received 73.33% of the vote, beating out Emma Burlison, a sophomore on the South Salem team, who finished second with 12.84%. Kyleigh Brown, a senior on the Silverton team, was third with 10.11% and Nevaeh Thew, a senior on the Echo team, was fourth with 2.16%. There were more than 7,000 votes tallied this week.
