Here are the candidates for the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Chauncey Andersen, Jefferson

The junior scored a team-high 25 points to help lead the Democrats to a 65-60 win over Benson in a Portland Interscholastic League showdown at Franklin High School.

Lauren Bailey, Creswell

The senior wing stepped up with 19 points, five rebounds and five steals for the Bulldogs in their 62-19 win over La Pine in a Mountain Valley Conference game at Creswell High School.

Ava Barnett, New Hope Christian

The junior guard tallied a game-high 22 points to help the unbeaten Warriors post a 48-16 home win over Elkton in a Skyline League opener.

Audrey Bayless, Jesuit

The junior guard scored 16 points to go with three assists, four rebounds and two steals for the Crusaders in a 56-30 victory at Lakeridge in a nonleague contest. She had 12 points, three assists, five rebounds and six steals in a 55-31 nonleague win at La Salle Prep.

Tayla Borntrager, Canby

The junior point guard helped the Cougars start 2-0 in Northwest Oregon Conference play, scoring 20 points in a 54-45 win at Hood River Valley and adding 16 points in a 50-44 home victory against Hillsboro.

Kaylor Buse, West Linn

The freshman point guard had a big week for the Lions, recording 21 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 66-60 nonleague win at West Salem and 22 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 63-28 home victory over Westview.

Nyla Cabine, Westside Christian

The senior guard/wing had a double-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocks for the Eagles in their 64-33 win at De La Salle North Catholic in a Lewis & Clark League game. She had 22 points, six steals and three rebounds in a 77-8 win over Catlin Gabel.

Addyson Clark, Sutherlin

The junior forward turned in a double-double for the Bulldogs with 22 points and 13 rebounds in their 58-31 win over Coquille in a Far West League contest. She had 20 points in a 45-37 nonleague victory at Marshfield.

Taylor Donaldson, South Albany

The sophomore had a big week for the RedHawks, recording 23 points and 18 rebounds in a 48-43 win over Central in a Mid-Willamette Conference contest and having 24 points and 11 rebounds in a 73-40 conference win over McKay.

MaeAni Dotts, North Eugene

The senior sank three 3-point baskets and scored a game-high 20 points for the Highlanders in their 50-47 loss at South Salem in a nonleague contest.

Kendyl Elias, Umpqua Valley Christian

The junior guard had 15 points and eight rebounds to help lead the Monarchs to a 45-41 home win over Oakridge in a nonleague contest.

Kendra Hicks, Jesuit

The senior post pulled down 14 rebounds, seven offensive and seven defensive, for the Crusaders in a 56-30 nonleague win at Lakeridge. She had 15 points and 20 rebounds (10 offensive and 10 defensive) in a 55-31 nonleague victory at La Salle Prep.

Elliette Kinney, Creswell

The sophomore wing had a double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in helping the Bulldogs edge Elmira 50-49 in a Mountain Valley Conference game at Elmira High School.

Abrianna Lawrence, Jefferson

The junior tallied 23 points to help the Democrats come away with a 65-60 victory against Benson in a Portland Interscholastic League showdown at Franklin High School.

Kambree Lee, Douglas

The senior recorded a double-double for the Trojans with 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 42-37 home overtime loss to Glide in a Far West League contest.

Evie Littrell, Lincoln

The junior guard scored a total of 39 points, shooting 12 for 23 from 3-point range, helping the Cardinals earn wins over McDaniel and Franklin in Portland Interscholastic League play.

Ava Mai, Westside Christian

The junior guard had 15 points, nine rebounds and two assists for the Eagles in their 52-27 win over Oregon Episcopal School in a Lewis & Clark League opener at Westside Christian High School. She had 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a 77-8 victory against Catlin Gabel. 

Isabel McCauley, Cascade Christian

The junior stepped up for the Challengers with 22 points, eight steals, six rebounds and an assist in a 44-35 victory at Brookings-Harbor in a Far West League opener. She had 11 points, eight rebounds and two steals in a 26-18 league win at North Valley.

Hailey Monte, Gladstone

The junior wing scored 27 points, sinking seven 3-pointers, with seven rebounds, five assists and a steal for the Gladiators in a 64-53 win over Heritage, Wash. She tallied 28 points in a nonleague game with Klamath Union.

Lilly Price, Bend

The senior guard had a solid all-around performance for the Lava Bears with 18 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 51-50 loss to Caldera in an Intermountain Conference opener.

Graycie Rodgers, North Douglas

The senior guard had a big night for the Warriors with 21 points, which included five 3-pointers, six assists and six steals in a 62-16 win at Pacific in a Skyline League opener.

Ava Rubio, McNary

The senior guard/wing stepped up for the Celtics with 14 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three blocks in a 54-41 victory at Sprague in a Central Valley Conference opener.

Crystal Sanchez, Riverside

The senior guard had 17 points and six steals to help lead the Pirates to a 52-20 home victory against Riverview, Wash., in a nonleague contest.

Izzy Simmons, Hermiston

The junior guard scored a school-record 40 points and pulled down 15 rebounds for the Bulldogs in their 79-57 win over Hanford, Wash., in a Mid-Columbia Conference game at Hermiston High School.

Brynn Smith, Willamette

The senior guard had a big week for the Wolverines, having 16 points, six rebounds and three assists in a 59-39 win over Springfield and 24 points, four rebounds and two assists in a loss to top-ranked Clackamas.

Jordyn Smith, Tualatin

The junior post stepped up with a double-double for the Timberwolves with 18 points, 16 rebounds and seven blocks in a 35-20 nonleague win at Newberg. She had 17 rebounds to go with seven points and five blocks in a 44-40 victory over Liberty.

Taylar Thingvall, Glide

The junior had a double-double for the Wildcats with 13 rebounds, 15 blocks and nine points in their 38-37 home win over South Umpqua in a Far West League game. She had six points, 11 rebounds and six blocks in a 42-37 victory against Douglas.

Lydia Traore, Crater

The junior center stepped up with 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks to help lead the Comets to a 59-49 win over Springfield in a Midwestern League opener at Crater High School.

Miranda Vidal, South Eugene

The senior guard had a solid performance with nine points, nine rebounds and three steals for the Axe in a 48-44 victory over Churchill in a nonleague game at Churchill High School.

Aspynn Westby, McNary

The senior wing/forward recorded a double-double for the Celtics with 11 points and 11 rebounds in their 54-41 win at Sprague in a Central Valley Conference opener.
