Clara Persons of Regis voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week

Persons received 80.68% of the vote, beating out La Salle Prep’s Ava Bergeson, who finished second with 12.03%

Congratulations to Regis’ Clara Persons for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 18-24. 

Persons, a sophomore guard on the Regis team, poured in a game-high 27 points for the Rams in their 57-36 victory over Horizon Christian in a first-round game at the Regis Holiday Tournament.

Persons received 80.68% of the vote, beating out Ava Bergeson, a sophomore on the La Salle Prep team, who finished second with 12.03%. Addie Ruckwardt, a senior on the Marist Catholic team, was third with 4.90% and Hailey Monte, a junior on the Gladstone team, was fourth with 1.50%. There were nearly 4,000 votes tallied this week.
