Ashton Moody of Cascade Christian voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Athlete of the Week

Moody received 49.08% of the vote, beating out Henley’s Joseph Janney, who finished second with 30.04%

Congratulations to Cascade Christian’s Ashton Moody for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 20-26. 

Moody, a senior quarterback/linebacker on the Cascade Christian football team, turned in an outstanding performance for the Challengers in their 34-24 win over Banks in the Class 3A state championship game at Cottage Grove High School. On offense, he ran for 158 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries, and he completed 9 of 21 passes for 149 yards and another score. On defense, he had two sacks and a fumble recovery.

Moody received 49.08% of the vote, beating out Joseph Janney, a sophomore on the Henley football team, who finished second with 30.04%. Landon Kelsey, a junior on the Central Catholic football team, was third with 9.48% and Dom Curiel, a senior on the Echo football team, was fourth with 6.94%. There were more than 22,000 votes tallied this week.
