Luke Wilson of Cascade Christian voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Athlete of the Week

Wilson received 56.09% of the vote, beating out Silverton’s Brody Sullivan, who finished second with 42.16%

Congratulations to Cascade Christian’s Luke Wilson for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Boys Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 6-12. 

Wilson, a senior receiver/defensive back on the Cascade Christian football team, had five catches for 102 yards and a touchdown and was in on a tackle of a potential winning 2-point conversion attempt in overtime in helping the Challengers edge Vale 27-26 in a Class 3A state playoff quarterfinal game at Crater High School.

Wilson received 56.09% of the vote, beating out Brody Sullivan, a senior on the Silverton football team, who finished second with 42.16%. Sawyer Teeney, a junior on the Silverton football team, was third with 0.84% and Rogelio Soto-Cruz, a junior on the Cottage Grove boys soccer team, was fourth with 0.28%. There were nearly 10,000 votes tallied this week.
