Jaycee Villastrigo of Crook County voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Athlete of the Week

Villastrigo received 36.29% of the vote, beating out North Eugene’s Zari Thomas, who finished second with 14.20%

Congratulations to Crook County’s Jaycee Villastrigo for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Athlete of the Week for the Week of Oct. 23-29. 

Villastrigo, a senior libero for the Crook County volleyball team, had 25 digs and six aces for the Cowgirls in their 25-15, 25-15, 25-19 win over Philomath in a Class 4A state playoff first-round match at Crook County High School.

Villastrigo received 36.29% of the vote, beating out Zari Thomas, a freshman on the North Eugene girls soccer team, who finished second with 14.20%. Akylah Kaino, a junior on Burns volleyball team, was third with 11.70% and Taylee Wilson, a senior on the Crater volleyball team, was fourth with 7.84%. There were nearly 9,000 votes tallied this week.
