Anahi Medina of North Marion voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Athlete of the Week

Medina received 57.08% of the vote, beating out Madras’ Ava Leach, who finished second with 19.83%

Congratulations to North Marion’s Anahi Medina for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Athlete of the Week for the Week of Oct. 16-22. 

Medina, a midfielder for the North Marion girls soccer team, is one of the seniors on the squad who have helped the Huskies put together a 9-1 record in Oregon West Conference play and an 11-3 mark in regular-season matches.

Medina received 57.08% of the vote, beating out Ava Leach, a sophomore on the Madras volleyball team, who finished second with 19.83%. Natalia Elias, a sophomore on the The Dalles girls soccer team, was third with 17.47% and Jaki Negrete, a sophomore on the The Dalles girls soccer team, was fourth with 4.25%. There were nearly 22,000 votes tallied this week.
