Here are the Oregon high school volleyball stars of the week for Oct. 16-22, as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Calli Aplin, Crater

The junior outside hitter had a total of 37 kills, 36 digs, six aces and five blocks for the Comets in victories over Eagle Point, Thurston and Springfield in Midwestern League action.

Raegan Boice, North Medford

The senior libero/defensive specialist, and a team captain, had 31 digs, three assists and two aces for the Black Tornado in its 26-28, 27-25, 25-13, 25-27, 15-11 win over Roseburg in a key Southwest Conference match played at North Medford High School.

Brooklyn Boyd, Centennial

The junior setter had 18 assists and six digs for the Eagles in a 3-0 Northwest Oregon Conference win at Canby, and she had 35 assists and five digs in a 3-1 home victory against Hillsboro.

Katie Brewer, Centennial

The junior middle blocker stepped up for the Eagles with 15 kills and six digs in a 3-0 victory at Canby in a Northwest Oregon Conference match. She then had 20 kills, 22 digs and nine aces in a 3-1 win over Hillsboro.

Kate Clifton, Days Creek

The senior setter recorded 12 assists and six digs for the Wolves in their 25-19, 25-16, 25-16 home victory against Camas Valley in a Skyline League playoff match.

Jane Christensen, Beaverton

The senior opposite had totals of 22 kills, seven digs and five aces for the Beavers in their Metro League home matches against Jesuit and Westview.

Josie Essner, Monroe

The junior middle blocker had 18 kills and 10 aces to help the Dragons top Gold Beach 3-0 and Oakland 3-2 in Valley Coast Conference playoff matches held at Oakland.

Jacquelyn Godard, Tigard

The sophomore middle blocker had 12 kills, hitting at .588, for the Tigers in Three Rivers League victories against Tualatin and Lakeridge.

Alexa Gugliotta, Crater

The junior middle blocker had totals of 33 kills, 11 blocks, nine digs and six aces in helping lead the Comets to wins over Eagle Point, Thurston and Springfield in Midwestern League play.

Destiny Hernandez, Beaverton

The junior outside hitter had 17 assists, 10 digs and eight kills as she pivoted to help out in the setting zone for the Beavers in their Metro League home matches against Jesuit and Westview.

Tessa Hobein, Ashland

The senior setter shined with 16 assists, three kills and three blocks to help the Grizzlies post a 25-19, 17-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-8 win over North Eugene in a Midwestern League match held at Ashland High School.

Addison Holcomb, Eagle Point

The junior had 13 digs, seven kills and two blocks for the Eagles in a 25-21, 25-12, 25-22 setback at Crater in a Midwestern League tilt.

Lilly Huck, Klamath Union

The sophomore outside hitter stepped up with 20 digs, 11 kills and three aces for the Pelicans in their 25-15, 25-23, 25-15 win over Hidden Valley in a Skyline Conference match.

Danica Huntoon, Crater

The senior right side had a strong week for the Comets with 29 kills, nine blocks and six aces in Midwestern League victories over Eagle Point, Thurston and Springfield.

Grace Ispen, Roseburg

The junior outside hitter/opposite had 12 assists and seven kills to help the Indians post a 25-12, 25-18, 25-9 win over Grants Pass in a Southwest Conference match played at Roseburg High School.

Josie Jenness, Pendleton

The junior had 38 assists and four aces for the Buckaroos in their 25-19, 25-16, 20-25, 25-22 win at La Grande in a Greater Oregon League finale.

Kaela Klopfenstein, Roseburg

The senior setter/defensive specialist had 19 assists, seven digs and six kills for the Indians in a 26-28, 27-25, 25-13, 25-27, 15-11 loss at North Medford in a Southwest Conference match.

Ava Leach, Madras

The sophomore, who has played at libero for the White Buffaloes for most of the season, moved to setter with the team being without a player at the position due to injuries and other factors. Leach stepped up the challenge with her bump sets for the team in its Tri-Valley Conference finale at Gladstone.

Brooke McHaffie, North Douglas

The senior middle blocker/setter had 13 kills, five assists, three digs and three aces for the Warriors in their 25-8, 25-13, 25-2 home win over New Hope Christian in a Skyline League playoff contest. She also had 18 assists, 14 kills and four aces in a win over Umpqua Valley Christian.

Leah Mueller, Irrigon

The senior setter/opposite stepped up with 19 assists, four aces and four digs to help lead the Knights to a 25-19, 26-24, 19-25, 22-25, 15-7 win over Weston-McEwen in a Blue Mountain Conference postseason match played at Stanfield.

Adrienne Nguyen, St. Mary’s Academy

The senior libero, and team captain, had 28 digs and didn’t let the ball hit the Blues’ side of the court in the fifth set, helping them rally for a 16-25, 20-25, 25-17, 25-18, 17-15 home win over West Linn in a Three Rivers League contest.

Zoey Pappas, Umpqua Valley Christian

The senior setter/outside hitter had 17 assists and 12 kills to help lead the Monarchs to a 25-15, 25-15, 25-17 home win over Powers in a Skyline League playoff match.

Ashlyn Pedersen, Westview

The freshman middle blocker led the way for the Wildcats with seven kills, seven digs, four aces and a block in their 25-8, 25-9, 25-13 home win over Aloha in a Metro League match. She also had 10 kills, two blocks and an ace in a league contest at Sunset.

Joslyhn Pope, Crater

The senior libero shined with a total of 67 digs and 10 assists to help the Comets post wins over Eagle Point, Thurston and Springfield in Midwestern League action.

Lennon Riddle, North Bend

The senior outside hitter, despite feeling under the weather, stepped up with 21 kills and 16 digs for the Bulldogs in their 24-26, 21-25, 25-20, 25-17, 15-11 win over Cottage Grove in a Sky Em League playoff match held at North Bend High School.

MacKenzee Running, North Medford

The junior outside hitter had a double-double for the Black Tornado with 14 kills and 13 digs in the team’s 26-28, 27-25, 25-13, 25-27, 15-11 home victory against Roseburg in a Southwest Conference tilt.

Izzy Simmons, Hermiston

The junior outside hitter/defensive specialist had a solid all-around performance with seven kills, seven digs and four aces to help the Bulldogs notch a 25-16, 25-15, 25-12 win at Pasco, Wash., in a Mid-Columbia Conference contest.

Amber Walker, Tigard

The senior outside hitter had a total of 50 kills, hitting at .343, and 28 digs for the Tigers in Three Rivers League victories against Tualatin and Lakeridge.

Paige Wood, Crook County

The freshman outside hitter had a total of 27 kills and 15 digs for the Cowgirls during play at the Clearwater Classic and a 25-12, 25-12, 25-6 home win over Madras in a Tri-Valley Conference finale.

Leila Yazd, Sunset

The senior setter, in her third year on the Apollos’ varsity, had 22 assists and four aces in a 25-21, 15-25, 25-19, 26-24 win over Westview in a Metro League match played at Sunset High School.
