McKay at Silverton, Thursday, Oct. 12

The Foxes welcome surprising McKay to town for Homecoming. The Royal Scots can earn the Mid-Willamette Conference’s top seed in the 5A playoffs by winning out.

Hillsboro at Forest Grove, Thursday, Oct. 12

Both teams are in the same pod with Wilsonville in the Northwest Oregon Conference, meaning the winner of this game likely is the No. 2 seed and will play host to a 5A playoff qualifier in Week 9.

Oregon City at Lakeridge, Friday, Oct. 13

All six Three Rivers League teams are currently in the top 16 of the OSAA rankings, but both these teams could use a win to solidify their chances of finishing there and making the 6A championship bracket.

North Medford at Sheldon, Friday, Oct. 13

The winner remains undefeated in South Central Football Conference play — and for Sheldon, which is trying to dig out of an early hole, it gets the bonus of getting out of the danger zone in the OSAA rankings.

Bend at Caldera, Friday, Oct. 13

The Wolfpack would love to make the 5A playoffs in their second season. To do so, they’ll likely need to knock off their crosstown rivals in this Intermountain Conference matchup.

La Salle Prep at Molalla, Friday, Oct. 13

At the beginning of the season, few people would have predicted this game would match two Tri-Valley Conference contenders. The winner has a clear shot at the conference title.

Junction City at Cascade, Friday, Oct. 13

It’s the first of three games matching the three remaining Sky Em undefeated teams jockeying for the conference championship.

Dayton at Santiam Christian, Friday, Oct. 13

The Pirates defeated Scio last week and now get the other remaining PacWest unbeaten, with the winner having the inside track at the conference title.

Lakeview at Cascade Christian, Friday, Oct. 13

The last two unbeaten Far West League teams have a two-game lead on the rest of the pack for the league championship.

Regis at Blanchet Catholic, Friday, Oct. 13

The Cavaliers’ turnaround from winless to 5-1 would take a big step toward a Tri-River Conference title if they can defeat the Rams.
