Here are the Oregon high school volleyball stars of the week as nominated by coaches, fans and readers.

Riley Crume, Days Creek

The senior setter had 12 assists and four aces to help the Wolves earn a 25-17, 25-23, 25-14 sweep against Rogue Valley Adventist in a nonleague contest.

Mikyla Cunningham, Roseburg

The senior turned in a strong all-around performance with nine kills, eight digs and four aces in a season-opening 25-12, 25-17, 25-17 victory at Ashland in a nonleague match. 

Cora Graham, Douglas

The sophomore had eight kills and two blocks for the Trojans in their 25-12, 25-10, 25-16 win at Gervais in a nonleague match.

Molly Griffin, Cascade Christian

The senior setter had 42 assists and three aces for the Challengers in a 20-25, 26-24, 24-26, 25-20, 15-12 home loss against North Medford in a nonleague contest.

Alexa Gugliotta, Crater

The junior middle blocker had a team-high 25 kills for the Comets in their 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 25-20 nonleague home victory against Roseburg.

Emma Kness, Eagle Point

The senior had 11 digs, 10 kills, two blocks and an ace for the Eagles, helping them post a 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-20 win over North Eugene in a Midwestern League opener at Eagle Point High School.

Mady Lebeck, Westview

The freshman libero, in her first varsity match, had 11 digs, three aces, an assist and a 2.57 passing average on serve receive for the Wildcats in a 25-16, 25-12, 25-21 win over Newberg. She had 15 digs, three assists and an ace in a match against Sherwood.

Brooke McHaffie, North Douglas

The senior middle blocker/setter had 11 kills and two aces to help the Warriors roll to a 25-5, 25-7, 25-11 win at Milo Adventist Academy in a Skyline League opener.

Sophia McQuary, North Medford

The junior setter recorded 20 assists, four aces and two digs to help the Black Tornado earn a 25-23, 25-23, 25-18 win over Ashland in a nonleague match at North Medford High School.

Amy Pappas, Umpqua Valley Christian

The senior setter/outside hitter had 14 kills and 13 assists to help power the Monarchs to a 25-13, 25-19, 25-10 victory at Glide in a nonleague contest.

Zoey Pappas, Umpqua Valley Christian

The senior setter/outside hitter had 15 kills and 10 assists to help the Monarchs come away with a 25-10, 15-25, 25-18, 25-20 win at Bandon in a nonleague match.

Julissa Pernsteiner, St. Mary’s Academy

The 5-foot-9 senior middle blocker had a team-high 10 kills on 13 attempts, and she provided a strong blocking presence for the Blues in their 25-15, 25-5, 25-17 win at Tualatin in a Three Rivers League opener.

Rowoen Plikat, Camas Valley

The junior had 11 kills and five aces to help lead the Hornets to a 25-10, 25-10, 25-12 home win over Pacific in a nonleague match.

Irene Rocha Ibarra, Cascade

The sophomore setter had 31 assists to help the Cougars get a 25-12, 25-13, 25-13 sweep against St. Helens in a nonleague contest at St. Helens Middle School.

Briella Mathis, South Salem

The sophomore outside hitter had a strong start to the season with her play at the Mountain View Tournament and against Redmond. For the week, she had 46 kills while hitting .370, and she had 30 digs and five aces.

Addison Pierce, Cleveland

The senior outside hitter had nine kills for the Warriors in their 25-20, 25-22, 25-12 win over Jefferson in a Portland Interscholastic League opener at Cleveland High School.

Makynlee Schauffler, Eagle Point

The senior had 46 assists, seven aces and three kills to pace the Eagles in their 25-17, 25-13, 25-17 victory at Phoenix in a nonleague match.

Alisha Shepherd, Elkton

The sophomore had 15 assists and three aces to help the Elks cruise to a 25-15, 25-16, 25-9 win over Prospect Charter in a nonleague contest at Elkton High School.

Nevaeh Thew, Echo

The senior had a strong all-around performance with nine assists, seven kills and six aces to help lead the Cougars to a 25-12, 25-22, 25-21 home victory over Sherman in a nonleague match.

Callie Turner, Century

The junior setter, with her leadership and hard work, has helped the Jaguars get off to a 2-0 start to the season. “She is currently running a 5-1, and killing it,” Century coach Caree Mickelsen said.
