Winter sports are starting to wind down, and several athletes statewide continue to make an impression in those sports.

Deshawn Denson, Midwest City boys basketball
Denson scored 29 points, including making eight free throws over two overtime periods as the Bombers outlasted Guthrie, 95-89, in double overtime to win their 5A area tournament and advance to the state tournament.
Jayla Constant, Putnam City West girls basketball
Constant had a team-high 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting along with recording four rebounds and three steals as the Lady Patriots defeated rival Putnam City North, 62-52, for their 6A area tournament championship.
Braci Nyberg, Seiling girls basketball
Nyberg capped a stellar career with the Lady Wildcats by averaging 21.3 points during their latest Class A title run. In the championship game win against Oklahoma Bible Academy, Nyberg scored 28 points to go along with four rebounds and three assists.
Abby Swart, Lomega girls basketball
Swart averaged 18 points in Lomega's three-game run in the Class B state tournament. In the title game, she scored 21 points in her team's win against Lookeba-Sickles.
Jett Mueggenborg, Okarche boys basketball
The sophomore guard averaged 22 points in the Class A state tournament. In the championship game, he scored 20 points as Okarche defeated Caddo to win state for the first time since 1979.
Za'brien Shelburn/Ke'shon Shelburn, Wilson-Henryetta boys basketball
A freshman, Za'brien Shelburn averaged 22 points and 4.3 steals during the Class B state tournament. He had 25 points as Wilson-Henryetta knocked off previously undefeated Calumet to claim the school's first-ever state championship. His older brother Ke'shon, a sophomore, also had 25 points in the Tigers' championship game win.
De'Yanna Douglas, Midwest City girls basketball
Douglas had 13 points and went 7-of-8 from the foul line as the Lady Bombers won their 5A area championship with a 50-40 win against crosstown foe Carl Albert.
Ciaran Pedulla, Edmond Memorial boys basketball
Pedulla had a team-high 12 points as the Bulldogs upended Owasso, 45-42, to win their 6A area championship.
Marcayla Johnson, Tulsa Booker T. Washington girls basketball
Johnson scored a team-high 18 points as the Lady Hornets rallied from an 18-point deficit to upend Tahlequah, 51-49, to advance to the 5A state tournament.
Dylan Warlick, Edmond North boys basketball
Warlick scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the two-time defending Class 6A champion Huskies defeated Moore in the 6A area championship game. The Huskies' win snapped the Lions' 15-game winning streak.
Conley Cayot, Oklahoma Bible Academy girls basketball
Cayot, a junior, averaged 15.7 points per game in the Class A state tournament, as OBA finished as the runner-up.
Hunter Arnold, Calumet boys basketball
Arnold averaged 14 points per game for Calumet during its three-game run through the Class B state tournament, which ended one win shy of a championship.
Ellie Willard, Lookeba-Sickles girls basketball
Willard averaged 21.7 points in her team's three-game run through the Class B state tournament bracket, as Lookeba-Sickles finished as the runner-up. She had 30 points in a quarterfinal win against Arnett.
Dylan Davidson, Perkins-Tryon boys basketball
Davidson scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Demons punched a ticket to the 4A state tournament with a 46-41 win against Inola.
JD Talley, Broken Arrow boys basketball
Talley had a combined 36 points as the Tigers won two do-or-die games in the 6A area consolation round to reach state. He had 21 points against Jenks and 15 more against Choctaw.
Alex McGarrah, Owasso girls basketball
McGarrah led the Lady Rams with 11 points as they handed Choctaw its first loss of the season as Owasso claimed a 34-31 win for a Class 6A area title.
Tre Crosslen, Tulsa McLain boys basketball
Crosslen had 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds as McLain won its 4A area tournament title with a 56-51 overtime win against Inola.
Dakotah Terrell, Pocola boys basketball
Terrell was his team's top scorer as the Indians returned to the 2A state tournament with a 69-34 win against Howe for the area championship. Earlier this week, Terrell - a 6-foot-8 underclassman who also plays football - received offers to play football at Arkansas and UNLV.
Miller Weast, Inola girls basketball
Weast scored 23 points, went 10-of-11 from the free-throw line and grabbed four rebounds as Inola defeated Fort Gibson, 57-51, in overtime to advance to the 4A state tournament while denying the Lady Tigers the chance to go to state for the 20th consecutive season.
Nykaiya Dillard, Putnam City North girls basketball
Dillard scored 21 points - 10 coming in the first quarter - to help PCN outlast Yukon, 42-38, in the 6A area consolation final, sending the Lady Panthers to the state tournament.
Jermiah Johnson/Donald Jackson, Tulsa Edison boys basketball
The two scored 20 points apiece as the Eagles won their 5A area tournament with an 86-78 overtime win against Booker T. Washington.
Mason Matulis, Tulsa Booker T. Washington boys basketball
Matulis scored 21 points as the Hornets defeated city rival Memorial, 79-61, to earn a trip to the 5A state tournament.
Luke Gray, Oklahoma Christian School boys basketball
Gray scored 20 points and blocked three shots as the Saints won their 3A area championship with a 62-44 win against Mount St. Mary.
Ama Musick, Bixby girls basketball
Musick had 16 points as the Lady Spartans returned to the 6A state tournament after a hard-fought 50-47 win against Broken Arrow.
Saniyah Morrison, Tulsa Rogers girls basketball
Morrison scored 28 points as the Lady Ropers outlasted defending 5A champion Sapulpa, 64-60, in a 5A area title game.
Allison Heathcock, Edmond North girls basketball
Heathcock had a team-high 23 points as the Lady Huskies returned to the 6A state tournament with a 56-40 win against Mustang for the area title.
Dalen Fuller, Tulsa Union boys basketball
Fuller had 19 points as the Redhawks captured their 6A area tournament title with a 56-44 win against Choctaw.
Julius Wilson, Holland Hall boys basketball
Wilson had a team-high 19 points as the Dutch defeated Collinsville, 57-49, to win their 5A area tournament title.
Gia Dennis/Tayen Allen, Coweta girls basketball
Dennis and Allen each scored 14 points, and Allen also hit a pair of 3-pointers, as the Lady Tigers downed Tahlequah, 48-37, to win the 5A area championship.
Olivia Stokes, Locust Grove girls basketball
Stokes scored 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting and going 5-of-5 from the foul line, while grabbing four rebounds and getting six steals in a 52-46 win against Fort Gibson in a Class 4A area title game. That sent the Lady Pirates to the state tournament for the first time since 2017.
