Oklahoma high school football computer rankings (10/24/2023)

Check out SBLive's custom rankings formula for every classification of Oklahoma football

With the Oklahoma high school football season in full swing, SBLive Sports has released its latest 2023 Oklahoma high school football computer rankings for every classification.

We will continue to release our computer rankings weekly for the duration of the season.

As the regular season nears the endpoint, there still hasn't been any significant changes at the top in the main classifications.

Bixby continues to solidify itself at the top in Class 6AI, and Muskogee remains No. 1 in the latest 6AII rankings. Midwest City Carl Albert, which needed a late escape to beat Guthrie last week, stays No. 1 in 5A ahead of undefeated challengers Del City and Elgin.

In 4A, Poteau remains No. 1, but the undefeated Pirates face a challenge in No. 4 and undefeated Ada this week. Lincoln Christian remains ahead of Heritage Hall in 3A, and defending 2A champion Washington continues to stand at the top in its classification.

SBLive's formula was created using its own linear algebra-based ranking algorithm inspired by the Colley Bias-Free Ranking Method. Colley’s Method was created by Wes Colley, Ph.D., an astrophysicist at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. He devised his algorithm to help address the subjectivity and controversy regarding BCS college football selections in the 1990s and early 2000s, using a method that used no subjective variables.
