Cornett helping Lady Wildcats to a solid start in 2023

Piedmont's volleyball team has gotten off to a solid start this season. 

One reason for the Lady Wildcats' strong performance has been the play of Macy Jones Cornett, a sophomore libero/defensive specialist.

Cornett has turned in some good performances with her versatility on the court. Piedmont did get a big win on Aug. 31, as the Lady Wildcats outlasted Yukon in five sets to move their record to 10-4, also winning their ninth match over their past 11.

For her efforts, Cornett was voted as the SBLive Oklahoma High School Athlete of the Week for Aug. 28-Sept. 3.
