Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Ohio high school Athlete of the Week for February 25 – March 2. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Harper Annarino, Granville girls basketball 

Led the Blue Aces to their fourth straight district title with 26 points in a 55-49 victory against North Union.

Hillari Baker, Carrollton girls basketball

Scored 27 points to help defeat Steubenville 66-46 and advance to the regional tournament.

Tessa Brousek, Padua Franciscan gymnastics

Won the 2024 OHSAA gymnastics all-around gold with a score of 38.450, taking home the top spot by just 0.100. She won on uneven parallel bar and was third in the vault.

Danielle Cameron, Olmsted Falls girls basketball

The senior guard dropped 23 points in a 63-61 win over Wadsworth.

Hudson Funk, Cornerstone Christian Academy boys basketball

Hit eight 3-pointers and recorded a career-high 28 points in a 68-65 win over Matthews to advance to the district semifinals.

Mari Gerton, Princeton girls basketball

Led the Lady Vikings to a 2-0 record for the week, scoring 19 points in a 53-17 victory over Ross and a game-high 23 points in a 59-39 victory against Kings.

Ethan Hively, Havoverton United boys bowling

Won the OHSAA Division II bowling state championship with a 726 series. He rolled games of 244, 239 and 243 en route to the title.

Olivia Klanac, Medina girls basketball

Finished with 28 points and 11 steals to help the Bees defeat Archbishop Hoban 49-32 and claim a Division I district championship. She also led the Bees with 19 points in the district semifinals in a win over Hudson.

Jayson Levis, Lutheran West boys basketball

Led all scorers with 26 points in a 72-34 victory over Shaw.

Kruz McClure, Westerville South boys basketball

Scored 18 points to lead the Wildcats to a 65-59 victory over Marysville.

Jesse McCulloch, Lutheran East boys basketball

Finished with 30 points, 12 rebounds and seven blocks to knock off Bard Early College 100-24.

 

Chaniyra McDowell-Isaacs, Brush girls basketball

The freshman guard had 22 points to lead the Arcs past Rocky River 60-52 and punch a ticket to the regional tournament.

Tommy Morgan, Brunswick boys basketball

Scored a game-high 24 points in the Blue Devils’ 96-31 victory against Max Hayes.

Tai Perkins, Westerville North boys basketball

Knocked down seven 3-pointers and finished with 28 points to defeat Columbus West 86-41.

Jonathan Powell, Centerville boys basketball

The senior guard posted 21 points in the Elks’ 46-32 victory over Fairmont.

Kaylee Russell, Carrollton girls bowling

Won the OHSAA Division II girls bowling state championship with a 665 series. She rolled games of 231, 241 and 193 to win by three pins.

Antoine West Jr., Whitmer boys basketball

Led the Panthers scoring attack with 27 points in a 73-31 victory against Springfield.

Sophie Ziel, Bishop Watterson girls basketball

Knocked down all six of her free throws in overtime and finished with a game-high 32 points to help the Eagles edge Marysville 57-46.
