Audrey Benedict, North Union girls basketball
In a 64-17 victory over Northwestern, Benedict scored 20 points to help the Ladycats remain undefeated and claim their third straight Mad River Division title.
Mackenzie Blackford, Solon girls basketball
Finished with 36 points in a 68-34 win over Stow and tied a school record for most 3-pointers in a game with eight.
Devin Brown, Olentangy Orange boys basketball
Had a team-high 20 points to lead the Pioneers to an OCC-Central title with a 51-47 win over Hilliard Bradley.
Will Cordonnier, Findlay boys basketball
The senior forward netted 20 points in the Trojans’ 62-30 victory over Elida and added 13 points in a 58-45 win against Whitmer.
Mari Gerton, Princeton girls basketball
Posted a team-high 28 points in a 55-41 win at Oak Hills on Wednesday. On Saturday, Gerton finished with 15 points to help defeat Lakota West 49-43.
Caitlyn Holmes, Ellet girls basketball
In a win over Loudonville on Thursday, the junior scored 16 of her 26 points over the final 10 minutes to help lead the comeback for the Orangemen.
Quinn “Turtle” Kwasinak, Cornerstone Christian Academy boys basketball
Had 43 points in the Patriots’ 79-61 win over Reimer Road Baptist Christian.
Chaniyra McDowell-Isaacs, Brush girls basketball
Tallied 17 points in the Lady Arcs’ 62-30 victory at Dover.
Isabelle Niederst, Elyria Catholic girls basketball
The senior guard dropped a career-high 39 points to lead the Panthers to a 72-56 win over Midview.
Madison Parrish, Mason girls basketball
Led the Comets to a 2-0 record for the week, scoring 22 points in a 56-38 victory over Lakota West and dropping 16 points to help defeat Lakota East 44-39.
Parker Penrod, Troy Christian boys basketball
Finished with 18 points in the Eagles’ 61-50 win over Ottawa-Glandorf at the OG Winter Classic.
Brady Rollyson, Green boys basketball
Scored 25 points to help defeat Canton McKinley 67-65 in overtime and clinch at least a share of the Federal League title. His final basket was a 15-foot jumper with 27 seconds remaining that ended up being the difference.
Reed Sims Jr., Canton McKinley boys basketball
The junior guard scored a career-best 33 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in an 84-74 victory over Massillon.
Samairah Thompson, Africentric girls basketball
The senior forward scored 21 points to lead the Lady Nubians to an 81-48 victory over Centennial to secure its ninth straight City League title.
Corri Vermilya, Loudonville girls basketball
Recorded a game-high 47 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a 73-64 loss to Ellet.
Tino Yli-Junnila, Lutheran West basketball
Led the Longhorns to a 2-0 record for the week, scoring 12 points to hand Garfield Heights its first loss of the season, 54-40, on Wednesday. On Saturday, he scored a team-high 18 points to help defeat Lima Senior 77-49.
