From Chase Allen of Fairland to Braylin Wells of Pickerington Central, there were several big-time high school basketball performances across the state of Ohio in the last week.

Chase Allen, Fairland boys basketball

Finished with 24 points, six rebounds and four assists in a 68-66 overtime win over North Adams.

Mackenzie Blackford, Solon girls basketball

Led the Comets to a 2-0 season start with dominant performances against Nordonia and Toledo Start. Blackford scored 31 points in a 77-44 win against the Knights and had 30 points in a 56-29 victory over the Spartans.

Leah Difranco, Midview girls basketball

The sophomore drained four threes and put up 19 points in a 53-38 win over Elyria Catholic.

Eszter Dioszegi, Strongsville girls basketball

Dioszegi finished with 18 points as the Mustangs outscored John Hay 67-26.

Jordan Fisher, Reynoldsburg boys basketball

With less than 10 seconds remaining in regulation, Fisher scored the game-winning basket and finished with 12 points and five rebounds to beat defending state champions Richmond Heights 55-53.

Marcus Johnson, Garfield Heights boys basketball

The sophomore had a game-high 24 points en route to a 76-48 victory against Euclid in the Great Lakes Classic at Cleveland Heights.

Jonah Lewis, Worthington Christian boys basketball

The senior guard led all scorers with 19 points in a gritty 62-59 win over Columbus Africentric.

Jesse McCulloch, Lutheran East boys basketball

The Michigan State commit led the Falcons with 21 points and 10 rebounds to defeat Walnut Ridge 68-62 in their season opener.

Matt Meyer, Lutheran West boys basketball

Anchored the Longhorns' first win of the season with a career-high 21 points and nine rebounds. Lutheran West beat Trinity 67-46 at home.

David Moore, Midview boys basketball

In the Middies' season opener against Keystone, the senior guard put up 19 points, including 15 in the second half. Midview edged Keystone 55-54.

Breighlee Moracco, Caldwell girls  basketball

Scored a team-high 18 points in the Redskins’ 60-30 victory over Shadyside.

Kennedy Morgan, Highland girls basketball

The junior guard posted 16 points to take down Tallmadge 55-32 in their home opener.

Larkyn Vordemark, Sidney girls basketball

Scored 19 points as the Yellow Jackets defeated Troy 54-27.

Berry Wallace, Pickerington Central girls basketball

The Illinois commit scored 24 points in a 61-54 victory over Reynoldsburg and finished with 17 points in a 53-52 win over Purcell Marian.

Braylin Wells, Pickerington Central boys basketball

Wells led the Tigers with 15 points to help knock off St. Vincent St. Mary 57-52 in their season opener.
