Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Ohio high school Athlete of the Week for October 29 – November 4. Read through the nominees and cast your vote. Voting will conclude Sunday at 11:59 p.m. If you would like to make a nomination in a future week, email athleteoftheweek@scorebooklive.com.

Brodey Berg, Anderson football

Berg opened the scoring in a 41-3 win over Kings with a 25-yard touchdown run and the senior running back finished with 101 yards and three touchdowns.

Chloe Brecht, Olentangy Liberty girls soccer

Her header in overtime found the back of the net to give Olentangy Liberty a 2-1 win over Upper Arlington in the Division I regional final.

Rafa de la Barrera, St. Ignatius boys soccer

Found the net in overtime to give the Wildcats a 2-1 win over St. John’s Jesuit in the Division I regional final.

Samantha Erbach, Waynesville girls soccer/cross country

On Saturday, Erbach finished third in the Division II state cross country tournament. Just a few hours later, she scored Waynesville’s only goal in a loss in the soccer regional finals.

Brayton Feister, Archbishop Hoban football

The freshman running back led the rushing game with two touchdowns on 60- and 38-yard runs as Hoban defeated Barberton 41-7.

Ben Gabelman, Westerville North boys cross country

In the Division I state tournament, he took home top honors with a time of 14:51.66.

Rebecca Geiss, Heartland Christian girls cross country 

In the closest of the state championships, she won the Division III title by 0.12 seconds with a time of 17:54.98

DJ Gray, Wyoming football

The senior linebacker led the Cowboys’ defense with a team-high 13 tackles and an interception in a 35-26 road win over Taft.

Ethan Grunkemeyer, Olentangy football

The Penn State commit threw for three scores in a 38-14 playoff win over Miamisburg. His biggest play of the night came on a 49-yard touchdown pass to open the fourth quarter.

Diore Hubbard, Gahanna Lincoln football

In a 48-42 win over Grove City, Hubbard totaled four scores - three on the ground and one receiving. The senior led the Lions’ rushing game with 193 yards and caught three passes for 56 yards.

D’shawntae Jones, Glenville football

Scored two touchdowns in the first half to lead the Tarblooders to a 44-7 win over Napoleon.

Kaden Kist, New Albany boys soccer

Broke a scoreless tie in the first minute of overtime in the Division I regional semifinals to give the Eagles a 1-0 win over Dublin Jerome.

Colton Kruse, Liberty Center football

The senior running back dominated on offense, finishing with 195 yards and four scores as the Tigers rolled past Huron 41-7.

Jordan Marshall, Archbishop Moeller football

The Michigan commit led the Crusaders' offense with 127 yards on 23 carries and a touchdown as Moeller defeated St. Xavier 10-7 on the road.

Tyler Morgan, Toledo Central Catholic football

Led the Fighting Irish with four touchdowns, including a 97-yard kickoff return in the first quarter. Morgan also had a season-high 139 yards on 14 carries to help take down Defiance 41-26.

Peyton Neher, Hudson football

With 3:47 left in the game, the signal-caller threw a 35-yard touchdown pass to give Hudson the lead and defeat Warren G. Harding 24-21. Neher finished 11-of-15 for 202 yards.

Austin Nowak, Archbishop Moeller boys soccer

Kept a clean sheet in the regional semifinals in a 1-0 win over Centerville and again in the regional final in a 2-0 win over St. Xavier. In 23 games this season, the senior goalkeeper has yet to allow a goal.

Zach Osborn, Anna football

In a 52-28 victory over Williamsburg, Osborn scored four touchdowns, including three on the ground and another on a pick-six return.

Reagan Pentz, Walsh Jesuit girls soccer

In the 2-1 regional final win against Magnificat, Pentz scored what would be the eventual game-winner from 31 yards out in the 51st minute. She also had a pair of goals in the regional semifinals.

Elizabeth Poling, Upper Arlington girls soccer

Found the net with just 2:34 left in the second half to give the Golden Bears a 1-0 win over Dublin Jerome in a Division I regional semifinal.

Evelyn Prodoehl, Lakota West girls cross country

Took home the state title in Division I with a course record time of 17:23.77, winning by more than 27 seconds.

Reese Reaman, Woodridge girls cross country

Took home the Division II state championship with a time of 17:52.21 

Brock Sherman, Walsh Jesuit football

In his first full game back healthy in over a month, the running back carried the ball 18 times for 176 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Austintown Fitch.

Greyson Siders, Dalton football

The senior running back had 223 yards and scored four times - three rushing and one receiving - en route to a 35-10 victory over Lucas. Siders had touchdown runs of 50 and 49 yards as Dalton scored 35 unanswered points.

Luke Snyder, Rittman boys cross country

His time of 15:23.03 gave him the Division III state championship. 

Devonte Taylor, Ursuline football

With the Fighting Irish trailing midway through the final quarter, Taylor caught a 30-yard reception near the goal line to help set up the game-winning touchdown run. In the first quarter, Taylor had a 39-yard catch that set up Ursuline’s first touchdown. Central Catholic edged Canfield 16-13.

Ben Uhlenhake, Bishop Watterson football

The freshman running back went scored three touchdowns on six carries to help Watterson to a 44-7 victory over Miami Trace.

Andrew Walton, Fairfield Union boys cross country

Won the Division II state title by more than 20 seconds, coming home in a time of 15:00.17.

Brandon White, St. Edward football

The sophomore running back finished with 116 yards and four scores in the Eagles’ 35-0 shut out of GlenOak. Three of White’s touchdowns came on short runs in the first half.

Aveona Yoder, West Holmes girls soccer

Scored the game-winner in double overtime to give the Knights a 4-3 win over Marietta in the regional final.
