Archbishop Hoban football trio receives Ohio State, Tennessee offers

Eli Lee, Payton Cook and Elbert “Rock” Hill IV all received Power 5 offers this past week

AKRON, Ohio – It has been a busy week for the Archbishop Hoban Knights, and especially for one of their junior standouts and two of their sophomore stars.

Junior linebacker Eli Lee and sophomore wide receiver Payton Cook and defensive back Elbert “Rock” Hill IV all received Power 5 offers this past week..

In Hoban's 57-7 win over Walsh Jesuit on Friday, September 29, Lee, regarded as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports.com and the No. 15 player overall in Ohio's junior class, recorded a safety for the Knights in the first quarter to make it 23-0.

Watching from the home sideline was Ohio State defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Jim Knowles, who then offered Lee earlier this week.

In the win over Walsh, Cook, a wide receiver, threw a touchdown pass to open the scoring when he took a flip from quarterback Tylan Boykin and then hit Jalen Hightower for the score.

Later in that game, Elbert “Rock” Hill IV took an end around 42 yards for a touchdown.

The duo then both received offers from the University of Tennessee on Friday, October 6.

There is already a connection from Rocky Top to Akron, as senior Hoban offensive lineman William Satterwhite is committed to Tennessee.
