Archbishop Moeller takes home win over La Salle

Two fourth quarter touchdowns sealed the win for Archbishop Moeller

Archbishop Moeller picked up its second win in a row on Friday night with a 28-20 victory over La Salle in Greater Catholic League - South play.

Moeller, the No. 18 team in this week’s SBLive Ohio Power 25, scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to break the game open after La Salle had cut the lead to just two.

With Moeller holding onto a 14-12 lead, senior running back and Michigan recruit Jordan Marshall broke away fro a 63-yard run to make it 21-12. And then Alex French intercepted a pass on the next La Salle possession and returned it for a score to make it 28-20.

Marshall finished the game with 139 yards on 17 carries and moved past 4,000 yards in his career. 

Quarterback Patrick McLaughlin led the La Salle offense with 232 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns while also running for 47 yards.

Moeller moved to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the GCL on the season and is now 2-0 against Ohio opponents after opening the season with four straight games against teams from Indiana.
