JJ Baldwin, Benedictine football

The junior had 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns on six receptions to lead the Bengals to their first win of the season, 44-29 at Athol Springs (New York).

Cornell Beard Jr., Shaker Heights football

Rushed for 284 yards and five touchdowns in the Raiders' 53-27 win over the Solon Comets.

Marquise Davis, Cleveland Heights football

Rushed for 333 yards and four touchdowns on 37 carries as Cleveland Heights edged Hudson 34-31.

Lauren Decker, Wadsworth girls volleyball

In a sweep of Brecksville on Thursday, the sophomore led all players with 18 kills.

Darius Dennis, Trotwood-Madison football

Clinched a 21-20 over Springfield by grabbing an interception with 1:15 to play. Last year, Springfield had defetaed Trotwood-Madison 41-0.

Will Francis, Chardon football

The quarterback ripped off 7- and 70-yard touchdown runs to lead the Hilltoppers to a 28-10 victory over Avon Lake.

Eric Geddes, Garrettsville Garfield football

In a 52-13 victory over Normandy, Geddes finished with four touchdowns. The quarterback completed 7-of-8 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 139 yards and two more scores on 10 carries.

Nolan Good, Avon football

The first-year quarterback threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns to end Glenville’s 17-game winning streak with a 24-16 win.

Tyler Gooding, Winton Woods football

Led the running game with 120 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries as Winton Woods beat their Eastern Cincinnati Conference rival West Clermont 21-13.

Eli Hyde, Brunswick boys soccer

The sophomore goalkeeper had a pair of clean sheets this past week, making three saves in a 2-0 win over Mentor and then stopping 12 shots in a 0-0 draw against Copley on Saturday.

Caleb Jones, Archbishop Hoban football

The senior running back ran for 148 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries as Hoban defeated Trinity Episcopal (VA) 34-6 at home.

Angelo McCullom, Pickerington North

The defensive tackle recorded two sacks and three tackles for loss to lead the Panthers to earn the rivalry win over Upper Arlington, 28-8.

Damari Mennard,  St. Thomas Aquinas football

Mennard led the Knights in tackles and also scored their only touchdown on a 2-yard run in a loss to Mineral Ridge.

Lia Milligan, Upper Arlington girls field hockey

Scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over defending state champion Thomas Worthington.

Ryan Montgomery, Findlay football

The quarterback completed 32-of-37 passes for a total of six touchdowns and school school-record 491 yards to lead the Trojans to a 49-14 win over Southview. Montgomery broke a school record for passing yards set by two-time Super Bowl champion Ben Roethlisberger.

DaOne Owens, Massillon football

Did it all for the Tigers, firing a 31-yard touchdown pass in the first half and also scored on dashes of 72 and 23 yards as the Tigers took down Mansfield Senior 51-10.

Presley Pennekamp, Oak Hills girls soccer

The junior scored all five goals for Oak Hills in a pair of wins this past week. In a 3-0 win over Lakota West on Thursday, she had a hat trick. And then on Saturday, she found the net twice in a 2-0 win over defending Division I state champion Seton.

Kentrell Rinehart, Bishop Ready football

In a win over Whetstone, the junior running back ran for 322 yards and three touchdowns, including a 96-yard score. 

Jon Slaper, St. Edward football

In the 42-14 win over Rock Creek Christian (Maryland) on Saturday, the linebacker scored two defensive touchdowns, returning a fumble for a score in the first quarter and then intercepting a pass for a touchdown in the second quarter.

Caroline Thompson, Sycamore girls golf

The senior shot 31 on the back-9 to finish with a 68 and a three-shot win at the Lady Elk Invitational at the Golf Club at Yankee Trace.

Lucas Weaver, Walsh Jesuit football

The junior running back turned on the jets with a 74-yard touchdown to help lead the Warriors to a 48-14 win over DeSales.

Drake Wells, Centerville football

The signal-caller led the Elks with 222 passing yards and two touchdowns to stage a 28-7 comeback win over Pickerington Central.
