Ryan Montgomery breaks Findlay (Ohio) passing record set by Ben Roethlisberger

The 4-star junior with offers from Florida, Georgia and Michigan, among others, broke a school record set more than 20 years ago by the former NFL quarterback

Ben Roethlisberger is a two-time Super Bowl champion who set several records during his time as quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ryan Montgomery, a highly-touted junior at Findlay (Ohio), now has the NFL legend beat in one statistical category.

Montgomery completed 32 of 37 passes for a total of six touchdowns and 491 yards, the latter of which broke a school record set decades ago by Roethlisberger, in a win Friday night at Southview.

Montgomery is the nation's No. 15 quarterback and No. 214 overall recruit in the class of 2025, per the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound signal caller is the No. 9 ranked junior in Ohio.

Montgomery, whose older brother Luke is an offensive lineman at Ohio State, is being recruited by the likes of Florida, Georgia, Michigan and more.

Last year as a sophomore, Montgomery completed 172 of 285 passes for 1,787 yards and 22 touchdowns.
