Here are the candidates for SBLive’s North Carolina High School Girls Basketball Coach of the Week of Jan. 29-Feb. 3 as nominated SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced Monday, Feb. 11th.

Here are the nominees:

Sheila Gill-Hargrove, Vance County: When it comes to just last week, the Vipers had arguably one of the best weeks of any girls basketball program. Gill-Hargrove guided her club to a 4-0 week, with wins over Cristo Rey Research, Carrboro, Granville Central and South Granville.

Tamera Thorpe, Greensboro Day School: The Bengals have had a really stellar season so far, sitting with a 26-4 record. Thorpe has led Greensboro Day School to six straight wins, going 2-0 last week.

Kelvin Drakeford, Cannon: Drakeford has his girls playing some of their best basketball down the stretch. Winners of their last seven games, the Cougars have picked up wins notably over Charlotte Christian and Charlotte Country Day.

John French, Chapel Hill: It's no surprise that Chapel Hill is cruising as they head into the postseason, but French has them on another level right now. The Tigers have notched eight consecutive victories.

Alfonza Hooper, Eastern Wayne: Hooper and the Warriors handed Goldsboro its first loss of the season last week. Eastern Wayne is now 17-2 on the season and the team is winners of three in a row.
