We have 10 athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s North Carolina High School Athlete of the Week from Jan. 8-14 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, Jan. 21 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Sadiq White, Myers Park, Boys Basketball

The 6-foot-8 junior had 16 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocked shots as the Mustangs beat Northwood 63-47 in a high-profile matchup featuring top national recruits. White has 15 college offers, including Alabama, Florida State, Georgetown, North Carolina State and South Carolina.

Isaiah Henry, Cannon School, Boys Basketball

Henry scored 28 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in Cannon’s 91-85 victory over Chambers. The 6-foot-5 junior also scored 13 points in a 103-68 win over Charlotte Country Day. Henry has eight college offers, including Georgia, Clemson and Appalachian State.

Amya Graham, South Point, Girls Basketball

Graham had a pair of dominant double-doubles. The 5-foot-11 junior power forward had 25 points and 26 rebounds in a 63-49 win over Hunter Huss. She had 25 points and 10 rebounds in a 64-58 loss to Stuart Cramer.

Braelyn Stillwell, East Burke, Girls Basketball

Stillwell scored 27 points in undefeated East Burke’s 81-20 rout of Bunker Hill. The 5-foot-3 junior guard also had 29 points on 12-of-16 shooting as well as 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals in the Cavaliers’ 74-31 pounding of Newton-Conover.

Khiara Culliver, Maiden, Girls Basketball

Culliver turned in a tremendous performance with a triple-double in the Blue Devils’ 59-55 win over Bandys. The 5-foot-11 sophomore scored 28 points to go along with 17 rebounds and 10 blocked shots.

Justin Root, Dixon, Boys Wrestling

Root picked up his 100th career win while the 144-pound championship in the Onslow County Cup tournament. He is a two-time state qualifier.

Elijah Sellers, Boys Indoor Track and Field, Anson

Sellers won the triple jump and finished second in the long jump in a Rocky River Conference meet.

Max Kelty, University Christian, Boys Swimming

Kelty took three gold medals and a silver medal in the Catawba County championships. The freshman standout won the 200 free, the 500 free and was on University’s first place 400 free relay. He was on UC’s second place 200 medley relay.

D’Andre Moore, Draughn, Boys Basketball

Moore led the way with 24 points as Draughn raced past Rosman 89-52. The sophomore guard is averaging 25.6 points per game.

Cam Honey, Ayden-Grifton, Boys Basketball

Honey scored 21 points in a 67-62 win over SouthWest Edgecombe. The 6-foot-1 junior guard is averaging 14.6 points a game.
