Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Western North Carolina Offensive Football Player of the Week for Sept. 8-9 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote in our poll. You may vote as often as you like. Voting will conclude on Saturday, September 16 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll. Congratulations to last week's winner, Sawyer Belue of Pisgah. Belue finished with 15,507 votes, 60 percent of all votes cast.  Logan Adair of Newton-Conover, who won the fan poll last week, was second.

HERE ARE THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES

Lorenzo Sanchez, Polk County: Sanchez ran for 101 yards and a touchdown and had six receptions for 69 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Landrum (South Carolina.)

Carson Dimsdale, West Henderson: Dimsdale was a workhorse in a 40-10 win over Erwin, rushing for 268 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries.

Truitt Manuel, West Henderson: Manuel had five receptions for 93 yards  and two touchdowns and also had an interception return for a touchdown in a 40-10 win against Erwin.

Josh Stover, Maiden: Stover completed 15 of 18 passes (83 percent) and threw for 285 yards and six touchdowns in a 50-19 win against Saint Stephens. He also ran for 37 yards as the Blue Devils improved to 2-1.

Isaiah Lackey, Hickory: Lackey ran for 96 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-15 win over Cox Mill.

Hari Mosley, Chase: Mosley had 10 receptions for 159 yards and two touchdowns in a 35-25 loss to Draughn.

Jayvian Knox, North Gaston: Knox ran for 205 yards and four touchdowns on just seven carries in a 55-7 win against Cherryville.
