WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA--Things are looking up again for the Mount Tabor football team.

Coming off a 9-3 season, a trip to the second round of the NCHSAA 4-A playoffs, and plenty of key players returning, Coach Tiesuan Brown has every reason to be positive about his team's prospects for the 2023 season.

Two key returning players are both juniors--WR Shamarius "Snook" Peterkin and one of the team's defensive anchors, Jadon Blair, both of whom are already entertaining numerous Division I offers.

The Spartans are two seasons removed from winning the NCHSAA 3-AA state title during the COVID spring season and this will be their third season playing in the 4-A classification since the latest realignment as part of the always tough Central Piedmont 4-A Conference.
