Lincoln Christian defeats Heritage Hall: 3A Oklahoma high school football state championship live updates recap

Oklahoma commit Andy Bass leaves with injury; Lincoln Christian scores 41 unanswered as Heritage Hall squanders big lead

Lincoln Christian is king of the Oklahoma high school class 3A football hill.

The Bulldogs scored 41 unanswered points to upend Heritage Hall in comeback fashion to win the 3A Oklahoma high school football state championship — a win bolstered by the exit of Heritage Hall quarterback Andy Bass (Oklahoma commit) in the second half.

The game took place at Chad Richison Stadium at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. SBLive provided live scores and the latest updates from kickoff to coronation.

The all-time series now tips to Lincoln Christian's favor. It's the sixth time in the last 15 years both teams have met in the playoffs and the overall series was at .500 entering Saturday.

Heritage Hall is ranked No. 5 in the SBLive Oklahoma poll and is coached by Brett Bogert, who is in his ninth season as the head coach and was an assistant under his father, Andy Bogert, for eight seasons before taking over the program in 2014. Brett has only lost seven games during his reign with the Chargers.

Lincoln Christian, ranked No. 10, is coached by Jerry Ricke, who is in his seventh year as head coach and 22nd overall (previously served as the offensive line coach and offensive coordinator).

Heritage Hall is led by Bass, a do-it-all quarterback committed to Oklahoma. The 5-foot-11 bass is a three-star prospect and the No. 5 overall recruit in Oklahoma, according to 247 Sports.

The game is being streamed live on the NFHS Network (subscription required)
