Oklahoma high school football powerhouses Bixby and Jenks met again in the Class 6A Division I state championship on Friday at Chad Richison Stadium at University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.

Bixby took control early and never relented in a 49-21 victory over Jenks, as the Spartans took home a state title for the sixth year in a row.

Do-it-all senior Kordell Gouldsby finished with more than 300 total yards and five touchdowns (three rushing, one receiving and one kick return).

Bixby (13-0) has now won back-to-back 6A Division I state championships after winning the last four as a 6AII member.  The Spartans were in the 6A-D2 title game every year from 2014-21 and won 7 of 8 championships before classing up to Division I.

Jenks (8-5) was looking to win its 19th state title, which would have tied Ada for the most in state history. Its most recent came in 2021.

-- Not so fast, Kordell Gouldsby says. The senior returns the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown. He has now caught a touchdown, rushed for a touchdown and scored on special teams tonight. (Bixby, 28-7 | 3:09)

-- Bixby is on the brink of putting the game away in the first half, but a tipped pass turns into a pick-six for Sam Stone and Jenks. The Trojans are right back in this. (Bixby, 21-7 | 3:24)
