Courtney Crutchfield decommits from Arkansas: Razorbacks lose top in-state recruit

The 4-star Pine Bluff wide receiver has more than a dozen offers

Pine Bluff (Arkansas) four-star receiver Courtney Crutchfield has decommitted from Arkansas, he announced Saturday morning.

In a post to Twitter/X, Crutchfield said he wants to go through the recruitment process and weigh options "without restriction."

Crutchfield, the nation's No. 11 receiver, No. 56 overall prospect and top recruit in Arkansas in 2024, committed to the Razorbacks in April alongside his cousin, fellow four-star Charlie Collins from Mills (Arkansas).

The 6-foot, 170-pound wideout racked up a long list of offers before his commitment and initially chose Arkansas over a list that included eight other SEC schools.

Here is Crutchfield's full statement:

"After thorough thinking and praying, I have decided to re-open my recruitment and de-commit from the University of Arkansas. You get one recruitment process and I want to take the time to carefully consider all of my options without restriction. I have the utmost respect for the Arkansas staff and appreciate them for everything. I have been blessed with several opportunities to play football and continue my education at some great universities. I hope that everyone will respect my decision as I do what is best for me and my family.

It's not immediately known if Collins will follow suit.

Crutchfield has been the Zebras' top target this season, racking up 710 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns in his first nine games of the season. Pine Bluff (7-3, 6-2) beat Robinson 20-7 on Friday night.
