College football wasn’t the only one with a a top 25 upset this Saturday.

Hours after Oklahoma knocked off Texas in the Red River Rivalry and UCLA took down Washington State at the Rose Bowl, there was another top 25 upset in the high school football world.

Homestead earned a 32-16 win over No. 16 Columbus, handing the nationally-ranked Explorers their first loss of the season.

Homestead quarterback Joshua Town threw two touchdowns, both of which went to Cortez Mills, and running back Isaiah Brown had three touchdowns (two rushing and one kick return).

Columbus jumped out to 10-0 lead against Homestead, but Brown started the Broncos’ surge with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Homestead outscored the Explorers by a total of 32-6 down the stretch.

Columbus entered the matchup at No. 16 in the SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 national rankings.

The Explorers began the year outside the top 25 but jumped into the national rankings with a win over Clearwater Academy International in the season opener.
