Oklahoma Sooners 5-star commit takes shot at Texas after Red River Rivalry

'(Expletive) Texas', said David Stone Jr., the nation's No. 3 defensive lineman, in Instagram story after 34-30 thriller Saturday

As the Oklahoma Sooners basked in the glory of a Red River Rivalry win over Texas on Saturday, David Stone Jr. inserted himself into one of college football's storied rivalries.

The IMG Academy (Florida) standout, nation's No. 3 rated defensive lineman and Sooners commit took a direct shot at Longhorns faithful.

In a photo on his Instagram story, Stone is throwing a "horns down" signal with his hand with a caption that reads "**** Texas" after Oklahoma's 34-30 upset of Texas in Dallas.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Stone is wearing an Oklahoma Sooners hat on his head in the photo and holding a Texas had in his left hand.

His right hand is shown affixed in a horns-down pose — a gesture mocking the "Hook 'em Horns" sign Texas has long embraced.

Stone, a 5-star prospect, is the nation's No. 6 prospect in the class of 2024, per the 247 Sports Composite.

He had lots of cheer about watching the Oklahoma defensive line, which turned Texas over on downs after four consecutive stops at the one yard line at the start of the fourth quarter.

The Sooners also sacked Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers five times on the day.

He's also an Oklahoma native, and grew up down the road from Norman. He played for Del City (Oklahoma) for two seasons before transferring to the elite prep academy.

Suffice to say, Stone will need no explaining of the rivalry's gravity when he suits up for the Sooners in 2024.
