Terry Bussey, nation's top athlete, accounts for 4 first half TDs in return

The Timpson (Texas) 5-star senior and nation's top-rated high school athlete made an emphatic return in his first full Texas high school football game back.
He ran in the first two and threw for the latter two as Timpson (3-0) coasted to a 63-12 win over Waskom and on Friday night.
His second score of the night went for 70 yards on a read option keeper where Bussey evaded an outstretched defender with a jump-spin.
Bussey is the top-rated athlete in the country in the class of 2024. He missed the first two games of the season with an undisclosed injury, then returned in Week 3 to score the game-winning run in the fourth quarter in what was his first action of the season.
The No. 2 overall prospect in Texas, No. 15 in the nation and top-rated athlete nationally (247 Sports) plays quarterback, defense, return specialist wideout at the Texas (UIL) Class 3A level.
He visited Alabama last weekend, but recruiting experts point toward Texas A&M as his college destination when he commits on September 28. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound class of 2024 Timpson High School (Texas) standout will choose between Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma, LSU and Alabama.
Oklahoma Sooners wide receivers coach Emmett Jones was at the game in Waskom.
Bussey, an SBLive preseason all-state pick led Timpson to the UIL Class 2A Division II state semifinals and in 15 games threw for 2,177 yards, 26 touchdown passes on a 64.7 percent completion rate, rushed for 2,596 yards and 46 touchdowns on the ground and logged 115 tackles, five interceptions, four pick-sixes on defense and three kick returns for touchdown and a punt return to the house on special teams.
