Barlow girls basketball
Barlow collected three wins over the week, winning by an average margin of 41 points. The Bruins top the Mt. Hood Conference and are No. 4 in the OSAA rankings with a 19-3 record.
Beaverton boys basketball
Beaverton (15-5) put in a three-win week with league wins over Southridge and Mountainside, followed by a 56-49 road win over Mountain Valley contender Sprague on Saturday. The Beavers finished the week tied with Jesuit atop the Metro standings.
Cleveland boys basketball
Cleveland (16-3) topped the PIL with a 10-1 record after Friday’s 70-60 home win over Ida B. Wells.
Country Christian boys basketball
Country Christian (21-4) won the Valley 10 League title with a perfect 16-0 record after knocking off runner-up Open Door 40-33 on Friday.
Crook County wrestling
Crook County won the Intermountain district tournament with 474 points — almost 70 more than runner-up Redmond. The Cowboys won five weight classes and featured both finalists at 113, 120 and 170 pounds.
Dallas wrestling
The Dragons tallied 357.5 points in winning the Mid-Willamette team title. Dallas had only one individual champion — Jose Romero at 120 — but put five more in the finals and qualified a district-high 14 wrestlers to the state meet in two weeks.
Gladstone cheer
Gladstone finished with 101.50 points — Sweet Home was second at 97.90 — to win the 4A championship.
Junction City girls basketball
Junction City (17-4) used a fourth-quarter comeback to defeat Marist Catholic 32-30 in a battle of top-10 teams Tuesday. Faith Marshall led the Tigers with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Junction City remained unbeaten in the Sky-Em League.
La Grande wrestling
The Tigers racked up 447 points in winning the District 4 team title. Led by eight district champions and six runners-up, La Grande will have 18 wrestlers competing at state.
Lakeridge girls basketball
Lakeridge highlighted a three-win week with a 46-39 home win over fellow contender West Linn on Friday. Keelie O’Hollaren and Reese Ericson shared the team lead with 17 points apiece. The Pacers (16-4) emerged alone atop the Three Rivers League standings.
Lebanon cheer
Lebanon finished with 100.80 points — Ridgeview was second at 97.30 — to win the 5A championship.
Lincoln girls swimming
The Lincoln girls scored wins in six of the 11 races at the PIL district meet, including Katherine Adams in the 200-yard medley and 100 breastroke, while Lucy Rush won the 50 free and 100 butterfly. The Cardinals also swept both freestyle relays.
Mazama wrestling
The Vikings amassed 351 points in winning the District 3 team title. Mazama won its third district championship in the past four years, placing nine wrestlers in the finals and winning five titles. The Vikings dominated at the lower weights, with their five champions ranging from 113 to 145 pounds.
Newberg cheer
Newberg finished with 111.40 points — David Douglas was second at 104.30 — to win the 6A championship.
Rainier cheer
Rainier finished with 96.90 points — Santiam Christian was second at 89.30 — to win the 3A/2A/1A championship.
Ridgeview girls basketball
Ridgeview (14-6) scored a 33-25 win Friday at Crook County in a battle for first place in the Intermountain Conference.
St. Helens wrestling
St. Helens scored 346.5 points to win the Northwest Oregon district tournament by more than 60 points. The Lions crowned five weight-class champions and had three second-place finishers.
Summit boys basketball
Summit (19-0) broke the 90-point barrier in wins over Mountain View and South Salem and remains the only unbeaten team at the 6A level.
Sweet Home wrestling
Sweet Home finished with 428 points to win the District 2 tournament by more than 200 points. The Huskies won eight weight classes and finished with 40 pins.
Thurston wrestling
Thurston tallied 447 points to win the Midwestern district tournament by more than 130 points. The Colts crowned champions in 9 of the 14 weight brackets and totaled 46 pins during the tournament.
Tillamook wrestling
Tillamook won the District 1 tournament with 401.5 points to out-point runner-up Banks by more than 120 points. The Cheesemakers crowned four champions and had seven runner-ups. James Goddard (138 pounds) led the way with three pins — two of them coming in the first period. He spent a total of 4 minutes, 41 seconds on the mat.
Westview cheer
Westview finished with 107.00 points — Tualatin was second at 99.00 — to win the Co-ed championship.
Westview girls swimming
The Westview girls picked up wins across six races at the Metro district meet, highlighted by Fay Lustria and Quinn Katayama-Stall going 1-2 in the 100-yard butterfly. Lustria also won the 200 medley, while Katayama-Stall was first in the backstroke and Stephanie Lee was first in the 50 free sprint. The Wildcats also won the medley relay and the distance freestyle relay.
