For the third consecutive week, there was minimal movement among the the top boys basketball teams in the San Diego Section. Scripps Ranch dropped their game against Point Loma on Friday, allowing Francis Parker to jump back into the rankings at No. 10. The upcoming week figures to be one of the most exciting of the season with five matchups between ranked teams scheduled to be played.

SBLive’s San Diego Section high school boys basketball rankings are compiled by SBLive California reporter Bodie DeSilva and will be released every Monday throughout the winter 2021-22 season.

1. St. Augustine (13-6)

Derrius Carter-Hollinger St. Augustine

The Saints, now back at full strength, have been dominating their opponents. They beat No. 7 Mission Bay and La Jolla Country Day last week, holding both teams to less than 50 points. The Saints will take on No. 8 Cathedral Catholic and Coronado in league play this week.

2. San Marcos (12-3)

Devon Arlington San Marcos

The Knights bounced back strong after three weeks off. They beat Windward at home before before taking down Poway and Rancho Bernardo in consecutive league games by a combined 96 points. They finished the week off with a 48-45 win over Rancho Verde on Saturday.

3. San Ysidro (12-5)

The Cougars handled Montgomery, 81-54, last week to move to 3-0 in league play. They'll take on Mater Dei Catholic and Olympian this week.

4. Torrey Pines (12-4)

Logan Huston Torrey Pines

The Falcons beat Canyon Crest in their league opener on Friday and beat Oceanside on Sunday. They've got a big week ahead with games at No. 6 La Costa Canyon and No. 9 Carlsbad before returning home for El Camino on Sunday.

5. Mission Hills (13-5)

Justin White Mission Hills

The Grizzlies used a big third quarter to blow out Del Norte on Wednesday and handled Westview on Friday to start 2-0 in Palomar League play. A big game against No. 2 San Marcos is set for Friday night.

6. La Costa Canyon (12-4)

Vincent Berlucchi La Costa Canyon

La Costa Canyon cruised through their first two league games last week against Canyon Crest and Vista. They'll travel to El Camino on Tuesday and host No. 4 Torrey Pines on Friday.

7. Mission Bay (13-5)

Angelo Gil Mission Bay

The Buccaneers beat Coronado by 55 points before falling on the road at No. 1 St. Augustine, 67-49. They'll host San Diego and No. 8 Cathedral Catholic this week.

8. Cathedral Catholic (15-5)

Shea Fitzgerald Cathedral Catholic

Cathedral Catholic scored 85 points in a win over San Diego and then scored 84 in a win over Coronado later in the week. Big road games against No. 1 St. Augustine and No. 7 Mission Bay are on tap this week.

9. Carlsbad (11-7)

Cole Murray Carlsbad

Carlsbad handled business on the road, beating Vista and El Camino last week. They'll host No. 4 Torrey Pines and Canyon Crest this week.
