In a week where many of San Diego's basketball teams were forced to cancel games due to positive COVID-19 tests, San Ysidro was able to play three times including wins in their first two Mesa League games. The Cougars finished up the week with a win at La Jolla Country Day on Sunday. Senior guard Sebastian Medina etched his name into the San Diego record books with a 60-point performance against Bonita Vista in Wednesday's league opener.

SBLive’s San Diego Section high school boys basketball rankings are compiled by SBLive California reporter Bodie DeSilva and will be released every Monday throughout the winter 2021-22 season.
