National Signing Day 2024: A complete list of Nebraska prep signees

All of the Nebraska prep players who signed with college programs Wednesday

After the major chunk of Division I and FCS decisions were made by Nebraska high school football players in December, the second signing period saw more Division II and NAIA players choose their schools on Wednesday. There were still a few high profile decisions made for the likes of Nebraska, Air Force, Kansas State, Drake and The Citadel, but for the most part, Kearney, Midland, Hastings College, Peru State and Morningside played starring roles in Wednesday’s local college football news.

Division I

RB/DB – Rowdy Bauer, Norfolk (Nebraska)

Bauer did it all for Norfolk. He’s being recruited as potentially a running back or a

defensive back, but Bauer also spent time as a wide receiver, kick returner and punt returner. In addition to 719 rushing yards and a 6.5 yards-per-carry average, his hands produced 25 catches for 252 yards. He had four games with more than 100 yards rushing, caught seven passes in a game against Grand Island and scored 11 total touchdowns.

CB/WR – Jax Gates, Norris (Air Force)

Gates was announced as a Shrine Bowl selection just a few days ago then made more news on Wednesday when he signed with Air Force. In his senior season, he caught six

touchdown passes, picked off three passes on defense and produced 549 yards of total offense. As a pass catcher, Gates hauled in 24 receptions for 484 yards and had a long of 80. Defensively, he made 25 stops.

LB – William Granger, Millard North (Kansas State)

Granger doesn’t have the numbers that stand out on paper, but his 6-foot-3 frame that holds 215 pounds is prototypical for the next level. At Millard North, Granger made 28 tackles with three tackles for loss, a sack and a fumble recovery. His best game of the year was six stops in a 49-28 win over Lincoln Southeast.

FCS

RB – Parker Borer, Boone Central (Drake)

Borer was the top offensive weapon for Class C-1 champion Boone Central this pastfall. In addition to the championship, Borer put together back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons and went over 2,000 this fall with 23 touchdowns and an average of 8.5. Borer had more than 100 rushing yards in every game but one and totaled 660 yards and seven touchdowns in the 2023 playoffs.

RB – Sebastien Boyle, Scottsbluff (The Citadel)

Boyle is Scottsbluff’s all-time leading rusher following a career that included 33 games and 5,168 yards. His three seasons led to a career average of 7.5 yards per carry and 156 yards per game. Of those 33 games, Boyle had more than 100 rushing yards in 26. Most importantly, Boyle helped lead the Bearcats to 24 wins over three years.
