Sumner-Eddyville-Miller junior running back Maddox Jones was voted SBLive’s Nebraska High School Athlete of the Week for Nov. 6-12. Jones racked up 80.94% of the vote. 

Jones ran wild in the six-man semifinals and sent the Mustangs to the second state championship game in school history. The junior running back totaled career highs in carries, yards and touchdowns when he went for 285 on 30 attempts and scored five times. 

He ripped off a long of 56 yards and had his sixth game in a row of 100 or more yards.  He also had 10 tackles for the second straight game and made two of those behind the line of scrimmage.
