Perkins County harrier Mason McGreer voted SBLive’s Nebraska high school athlete of the week (9/25/2023)

McGreer tallied more than 10,000 votes

Perkins County cross country junior Mason McGreer was voted SBLive’s Nebraska High School Athlete of the Week for Sept. 11-17. 

McGreer tallied 10,320 votes (67.06%). Papillion-LaVista softball senior Kloey Hamblen was second with 4,463 votes (29%). 

McGreer was coming off a PR time of 16:07.2 at Chase County when he ran 16:44.6 at McCook and won by more than 45 seconds. He’s been dominant with a win by more than 20 seconds at Chase County and 27 seconds at St. Pat.’s. McGreer now has seven wins in his career.
