Each week during the 2023-24 high school girls basketball season, SBLive Sports will gather the best performances across the country with the help of fans, readers and staff.

Now, it’s your turn to choose a standout among the pack, the best of the best.

Here are the nominees for SBLive’s National High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 22-28. Voting closes on Monday, Feb. 5, at 11:59 (Pacific Time).

SBLive National High School Girls Basketball Player of the Week candidates

Kie’Aundria Acree, fr., Monroe (Georgia)

Acree had 37 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and four steals in an 83-28 win over Columbus.

Aaliyah Chavez, jr., Monterey (Texas)

Chavez put up a triple-double in an 81-30 victory over Abilene, recording 42 points, 11 rebounds, 12 steals and six assists. Chavez is the No. 1 national prospect for the class of 2025.

Joyce Edwards, sr., Camden (South Carolina)

Edwards, a five-star South Carolina signee, scored a single-game school-record 52 points in a 98-36 win over Darlington.

Ghelsey Go, sr., Edison (New Jersey)

Go had a career-high 37 points as Edison downed Kennedy, 55-45.

Jaelynn Housey, so., Nova (Florida)

Housey had 40 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and seven steals in a 68-53 victory over Western.

Justine Katz, sr., Dos Pueblos (California)

Katz broke a pair of school records in a 79-60 senior night victory over rival Santa Barbara. The guard scored 38 points and hit 11 3-pointers, setting new Dos Pueblos single-game records in both categories.

Kameryn Ketcham, sr., Sweet Grass County (Montana)

Ketcham, a Montana Tech signee, poured in 36 points as Sweet Grass County fell to Huntley Project, 82-79.

Jillian Kunert, fr., Northwestern (Wisconsin)

Kunert recorded a triple-double in a 55-32 win over Ashland, tallying 14 points, 19 rebounds and 11 blocks.

Ella Olsen, so., Granville (New York)

Olsen dominated with 29 points, 21 rebounds and six assists as Granville routed Fort Ann, 55-34.

Ava Ottaviano-Scaturro, jr., Kingston (New York)

Ottaviano-Scaturro netted 29 points in a 61-51 win over Middletown.

Diamond Prince, so., Troy (Michigan)

Prince scored 40 points — a new Troy single-game record — in a 63-38 win over Berkley.

Karsyn Reed, fr., Narrows (Virginia)

Reed came within two steals of a quadruple-double in a 76-42 victory over Craig County, putting up 21 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and eight steals.

Ma’Ziyah Richards, sr., Plainfield (New Jersey)

Richards scored a career-high 28 points as Plainfield got past Union Catholic, 55-47. The senior guard also had six rebounds and six steals.

Jerzy Robinson, so., Sierra Canyon (California)

Robinson tallied 37 points and 16 rebounds in an 86-29 win over Alemany. Robinson is one of the top sophomore recruits in the country.

Avery Rogers, sr., Prattville Christian (Alabama)

Rogers netted a school-record 40 points as Prattville Christian ran by Dallas County, 91-13. She scored 36 points in the first half.

Emily Shaw, sr., Mater Dei (California)

Shaw made eight 3-pointers and finished with 30 points in a 95-47 victory over Esperanza.

Ashley Shroades, sr., Southern (Ohio)

Shroades became the leading scorer in Columbiana County history with a 30-point effort in a 57-10 victory over Valley Christian. The senior was sitting on 2,032 points career points after the win.

Macy Smith, sr., Strasburg (Virginia)

Smith put up 27 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 56-27 win over Madison County. She broke the school’s all-time scoring record during the game and closed the week with 1,624 career points.

Tayleah Spaulding, sr., Milford (Utah)

Spaulding had 35 points as Milford edged El Capitan, 56-52.

Iyanna Wade, jr., Clairton (Pennsylvania)

Wade poured in 65 points — a new WPIAL single-game record — as Clairton took down Steel Valley, 82-32. Wade is the fourth girl in WPIAL history to score 60 or more points in a game.
