Look: Notre Dame commit Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa revels in back-to-back St. John Bosco, Irish 28-point victories

The 4-star linebacker leads Braves to stunning 28-0 win over national No. 1 Mater Dei on Friday, flies to South Bend Saturday to watch Notre Dame pummel USC

BELLFLOWER, CALIFORNIA — After one of a half-dozen postgame interviews humble Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa gave Friday night after his team's unexpected and remarkable 28-0 win over national No. 1 Mater Dei, the St. John Bosco senior was asked if he had any messages for his future fans at Notre Dame.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound linebacker noted he was flying out to South Bend the following morning. He's a Notre Dame commit.

"We got to get it done tomorrow!," said the soft-spoken fourth-year Bosco standout.

The Irish did in equally stunning fashion as the Braves, knocking off the Trojans with a 48-20 throttling Saturday night. Both of his teams — present and future — won by four touchdowns.

Talk about back-to-back celebrations. Needless to say it was a wonderful weekend for Viliamu-Asa.

About Friday's game, the first shutout against a Mater Dei team in 12 years, Viliamu-Asa told SBLive sports reporter Myckena Guerrero: "The offense had a great game. The defense had a great game. The special team's did their job. We did everything we expected to do. And that because we had a really good week of preparation at practice. We just came out and did our job."

Watch all of Guerrero's interview with the physical and fast linebacker, who credits his faith, family and teammates for all his success.
