Look: Alabama commit Ryan Williams, Auburn commit Perry Thompson showcase big-play ability

Saraland cruised past Foley, but both teams' star receivers showed why they're five-star prospects

Ryan Williams backpedaled into the end zone on an easy touchdown, and Perry Thompson took a screen pass and took off for an easy six.

The stars came out in the first half of Saraland's 70-20 home win over Foley on Friday night in Alabama high school football.

Williams, a five-star junior Alabama commit, struck first in the duel with a long TD reception from quarterback JJ Lacey:

Thompson, a five-star senior Auburn commit, scored Foley's only touchdown of the first half on a routine screen where he showed off his blazing speed:

Williams added a second score on the ground playing quarterback in a Wildcat formation, plus had an impressive kickoff return to the 50-yard line:

Saraland (6-0), the No. 15-ranked team in the national SBLive/Sports Illustrated Top 25, scored on every one of its possessions in the first half to take a 42-10 lead at the break over Foley (2-3).

The Spartans cruised from there, as Williams added another touchdown run out of the Wildcat in the third quarter, and the backups came out for the fourth.

Saraland entered the game having outscored its four in-state opponents 216-16, so the Spartans continued their dominant streak against Alabama competition.
