Two undefeated North Carolina high school football teams collide Friday night on national TV when Providence Day hosts Charlotte Catholic at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Providence Day enters Week 3 as the top-ranked team in the SBLive North Carolina Power 25, while Charlotte Catholic sits at No. 14.

The two teams played a thrilling 21-20 game last season when Providence Day scored the winning touchdown with 11.8 seconds left.

Providence Day-Charlotte Catholic is the opener of a seven-game slate airing nationally on ESPN networks in September.

Charlotte Catholic's biggest strength is at tight end, where the Cougars have a pair of future Division I players in seniors Jack Larsen (Notre Dame) and Nick Segarra (Ohio).

The offense has been on fire through two games, scoring a combined 98 points.

Providence Day (North Carolina)

Michigan commit Jadyn Davis is one of the top quarterback prospects in the Class of 2024, and blocking for him is offensive tackle David Sanders, the No. 1-ranked recruit overall in the junior class.

Davis' two main targets in the passing game are fellow Michigan commit Channing Goodwin and North Carolina commit Jordan Shipp.
