Missouri high school has three basketball buzzer-beater wins in one night

Three Orchard Farm teams hit three game-winning shots

The Orchard Farm High School basketball program had a night the boys and girls basketball programs won’t soon forget on Tuesday.

The Eagles’ varsity girls team, junior varsity boys and varsity boys all pulled off buzzer-beating victories at St. Charles West High School.

“Once in a lifetime” is how the Orchard Farm boys basketball X (Twitter) account described it.

The Orchard Farm boys' varsity team defeated St. Charles West 49-47 behind 14 points from senior Logan Hazel and nine from junior Max Dietrich, including the leaning jumper in the lane to secure the victory.

The Eagles improved to 9-4 on the season.

The Orchard Farm girls varsity defeated St. Charles West 35-32 on a long 3-pointer by senior Faith Mitchell as time expired.

The most dramatic of the three buzzer-beaters came in the boys' junior varsity game where sophomore guard Max Bextermueller hit a 3-pointer from the left corner in the final seconds to tie the score, then stole the inbounds pass and hit another 3 from the same spot to win the game 58-55.

What a night for Orchard Farm.
